I just really appreciate your continued education and comments. I got into a semi argument with a close friend just today about the New England J of Med study. I missed TWIV last week but my response to her was in line with your comments in this You Tube video!

Good for you! What's really distressing is on these medical sites, to hear (supposed) docs expressing skepticism about Paxlovid. I can't believe what I'm reading sometimes.

As a person in the last few days before active immunity from my last COVID booster, I don't mind taking a booster twice a year. I have taken the flu vaccine every year since 1988 ( I was unvaccinated and got bad flu that year). So, I take a flu shot every year and don't mind and I would take a COVID shot ever six months and not mind. I have had every vaccination offered for COVID, and I really don't mind if I am 'hyperimmunized." As I have said in the past, they hyperimmunized people against rabies for most workers in rabies production or research facilities, some wildlife workers and high risk people. I understand rabies is a stable not highly variable genetic virus, but still why not hyperimmunized against COVID for high risk people ?

As a a UK viewer, newsreader and patient i have never every heard of prophylaxis use of a anti viral for covid and wouldn't know under what brand name it was marketed to NHS general practicioners. The booster however is freely available to the categories mentioned.

While I do enjoy these podcasts, it would be MUCH better if you can include time stamps for each of these videos. Thank you!

My doctor practices out of UC Irvine Medical Center in Southern California, a part of the large UC system. I was also told I could only get Paxlovid if I actually had Covid (due to a hospital policy). I went to my naturopath, who easily prescribed prophylactic Paxlovid. Yikes!

19:27 admits vaccines have “minimal benefit “. & doctors shouldn’t recommend them. Welcome to team antivax Doctors. It only took you 4.5 years to come around… but at least you finally came around.

I would say they are not antivax doctors but vaccinating when appropriate based on all the clinical updates they have done and other microbeTV episodes.

The current booster is not of benefit. The original series worked really well. The updated vaccine works for those over 65. In the fall, they will update us on people over 65.

Baloxivir, given as a single dose. Available as tablet or liquid. Has a downloadable coupon. Costs $177 per dose, but may be as little as $30 copay with insurance and coupon.
