I really like 7's! They make life seem so light and bright! Thanks for that (coming from a 5/4 4/5).

7w8 here. As another 7w8 commented below, you explain the thoughts and actions of a 7s very well. I have to disagree with the joke at the funeral being inappropriate. I get that some people like a type 1 could feel that, but that is a problem with the type 1. There was nothing negative in the words of the joke so the type 1 should reflect on why they feel put off by the joke. It is the gift and job of the type 7 to bring joy to the world. A funeral should be a celebration of life. My guess is that some types can't imagine being sad in losing someone while at the same time celebrating the joy of a person's life and what they brought to the world.

I never thought about myself as being dismissive of others and ignoring their feelings. I always think of my bright mood as inviting people into joy and including them in me finding it. I’m just realizing while dating a 9w1 that I don’t dig deep because I want to expand life not dwell in it. That’s my gift to others. Because I love them deeply I want them to only experience joy and prevent pain. That’s why I don’t talk about my problems with the ones I truly love. AKA running away like a tinkerbell again

It's interesting how self-reflection can lead to new insights about ourselves and our relationships.

The characteristics of being a 7 for me didn’t come out strongly until I went through a divorce. My ex had multiple affairs was controlling and verbally abusive. As a child my mother was also extremely controlling. Would that possibly be why the 7 characteristics didn’t show til after the divorce.
