Nice, i got a Pioneer gm-d9601 and 2 12" rf p3d4's in a ported box for around 500 bucks and they make my ears bleed its insane. Haven't even dared to turn it up past half volume.

I bought the Kenwood KDC-252U head unit. I plan on buying two Kicker CompVR 12's and the Kenwood Kac-8105D 1000-Watt Class D Mono Amplifier. Is this a monster setup or no? I really want a system that hits, the total is going to be around 400$ including the box

I have a 3000 watt amp on these same subs with a 4 gauge power wire. hits a lot harder. these are good cheap subs, if you are looking for cheap but hits.

Yea i have the mtx subs that push 1600 and kenwood amp 1000 wats and alphine radio. 4 gauge wire and u must have a capacitor. Without the capacitor your battery will drain.

MultiDonnell1 set em all low then slowly turn up till you hear distortion, back off slightly till distortion is gone and you should be good to go.

+Korey Fox you cna get amps with up to 10000 watts... your speakers can only do 400 w RMS. so a 1000W amp would blow your speakers if you turned it all the way up. peak means NOTHING... its all about RMS you could buy the nice amp, leave the gain turned WAY down, and be fine till you got new speakers that can handel the power. if you buy an amp that does too much power for the speakers, your wasteing money because.... why nopt buy a less powerfull amp? your not going to be able to the the extra power.... and extra powerfull amps cost money,.

I bought a similar package, however after 5 months the amp stopped working. Luckily I had warranty so the store replaced it with a brand new one. There is power running through the amp, with the 3 circles flashing red. However there is still no bass and the flashing red should be green. Just put in an order for these subs today on amazon I got the exact same setup just by chance! Could you tell me how you wired yours? I'm thinking that doing a bridge will bring the subs total impedance down to 1 ohm and allow for the amp to put out at its full 800W... but ive never had a sub before so i dont want to go in blind and ruin some nice new gear haha

I have these subs they hit hard if you go over the rms it can handle 500rms max 1000watts. but i had them ON i think 1500watt we turned down the amp becuase the amp itself go up to 3000watts but that was a friends amp my amp is a jl audio its 1000watts peak .

Hey man i just ordered these subs about two days ago. my whole setup is costing me around 320. i got my subs for 125 on the mtx website and a much better amp (pioneer gm-d8601) for 127 plus my wiring kit. so if you want those subs to hit harder id suggest getting rid of the mtx amp, i read about 60 reviews on the mtx amp and all are negative. but the subs are amazing.
