love your videos mate, do alot of this kind of stuff all over the underground network. no matter how many people you work with. someone will always have another way of doing things. Definitely going to give the exhaust cutter ago on the next one. great idea

I don’t want to sound dramatic but it changed my life when I started using it😂😂😂😂. I’ve had mine, the same one as well, for 8 years.

I do the 750v feeder cables on the railway and we use the same cembre equipment. Good job though mate like the exhaust cutter trick, I used a pipe cutter but might look into this 👍🏼

I use it to do the armour cut, I then use it to expose the armour and I use it to strip the pvc off to expose the copper for the lug to be fitted.

Quality!! Never seen an exhaust cutter used on armoured will defo be getting one got a 70mm to do next week do u use it on all size armoured and is there technique to using it ?
@jointechcabling91033 жыл бұрын
It won’t do a cable less than a 4c x 10 (3c x 16) but anything above that you be fine. What I would say is have a practice so you know the depth you’re cutting to. I made a point of this the first time I bought it. You’ll not regret buying one though. They’re the tits!!😂😂

Cant wait to try the exhuast cutter trick. Tricky work on your own!! How many pac man shrouds do you end up with??
@jointechcabling91033 жыл бұрын
Practice on a bit of scrap until you get the feel for it. It can be tricky but there’s always a way round it. I enjoy solving the problems as well as making a nice job of it. Shrouds cut too big are one of my pet hates. I make sure it’s tight as a nuns fanny!!😂😂😂

I’m flattered by that. I haven’t got anything going at the minute. Maybe when I get too old to carry my tools I’ll give you a shout😂😂😂. If I get any real big jobs I’ll put a video out requesting people.
