It's a tense day in the shop! You read that title right- this 55 two door came with a 4-door back half that we need to fabricobble together to make one complete car and the best way to do that is make sure the back glass is gonna fit! We use every tactic we can think of to get these two cars together as straight as can be!

Dan is the master of making something from nothing. That ‘55 looked like a lost cause or at best a parts car. One thing I would like to see is the opening up of the rear wheel openings. Much like you did on the gray ‘55. Regardless, anything you do to that “heap” is an improvement.😊

Moving on even though you have picked up and moved 1000s of miles! Noted the DR PEPPER on the trunk lid of the 57. You and Dannie need to come to Waco, Texas, and tour the DR PEPPER Museum, where the drink was invented and the first place it was bottled. Keep on making the HOTRODS that TRI-5 folk want! When I was a member of the US Air Force one of the units I was part of was the TRIPLE NICKLE (555 Tac fighter) squadron. A great shirt would have a picture of a 55, 56, and 57 with 555 emblazoned across the shirt.

Knowing that the rear was bolted down I would have jacked up the firewall. Maybe even try some bushings under the floor to see if that helper your alignment. As far as Dani's comments I think if we can hear her we should see her too, so we get the facial expressions.

On the left rain gutter, you had your tape measure angled. Not straight up and down. You measured the right rain gutter with the tape measure going straight up and down That's why it shows a longer distance. Looking good so far 👍.

You need to cut the floor loose and remove all the stuff from underneath the car so it can move around I'm measured from the back of the quarter panel to the inner door well on both sides to get the length and you're gonna help top the window lineup.

I'm a little confused to why you'd weld the floor first. If the front part of the body isn't bolted to the chassis did it even have body mount bushes to space it from the chassis.?
