Christmas 2014 my brother and I got a Wii, and a month later we'd gotten Resident Evil 4... And one day as I was attempting (and failing) that Village ambush...my brother showed me y'all's LP... you guys shaped my own playthrough, and your methods allowed us to beat the game enough times to get the Chicago Typewriter 3 times over in how much Pesetas we were bringing in just using that gun and hoarding as much ammo to Sell as we could. Love you guys, Mat and Pat you guys are my favorite duo of the Channel, sorry you guys fell out... And to this day I put your LP on in the background as I play RE4 on my PS4 Edit: holy smokes 68 likes. Thanks so much 😊

Bro, I just beat this for the first time on ps4 the other day (which is embarrassing considering I had the copy for 5 years, I just never really played re games that much, more hack n slash or souls and if I did play survival horror it was usually Dead Space) and missed so much in the playthrough. I always thought that the first guy you fought here is a normal human who is paranoid about the other villagers because he knows what they've become so he secludes himself from the others and when Leon comes in he thinks that he is one of them (infected or that he will bring them to his house) and goes for the axe but Leon shoots him which attracts the other ganados who are already infected and mind controlled... because this villager well his same model shows up later looking pretty zombie like and mind controlled who tries to kill Leon and Louis with the big axe.

The way the combat in RE4 and 5 works is so satisfying when you have it down. Bottleneck enemies into tight spaces, stun at least one of them, then kick (or fucking uppercut in Chris' case) the shit out of 10 of them at once with one animation. 4 and 5 really are the "do combo" pinnacle of Resident Evil.

Eh, if you've seen one playthrough of this game you've seen them all. I'll still be watching since it's Matt and Pat. Maybe there'll be some funny deaths to amuse me. As Alice says, die for me! And hey, clunky as the old RE translations used to be, you have to agree that "itchy. tasty." memo is the creepiest thing ever written in a game. Oh, and that "leader plagas" stuff became relevant in RE: Damnation. It was still really dumb though.

***** I wasn't expecting a weird comparison to superheroes that don't really fit, is all. I was drawing a distinction between Chris being on an international, U.N.-like force and Leon being a high-level U.S. secret agent. Marvel's all about American unilateralism, so I don't know what an appropriate comparison would be, if one even exists.

Yeah, Pat you beat this game a total of 50 times but you don't know that you can get a second chainsaw guy if you try to leave the town before entering the shack.
