OKAY DETAILED SUMMARY HERE (BEWARE ITS LIKE LONG 👹🌺✨) Thank you for watching!! Here it is ↓ ↓ ↓ (1/2) When on the streets Todd usually hanged around communities as most of the loners do around there with not really having a place to belong. One day how ever todd noticed another kid while at the meet ups, it was a plus to him it was someone his age and was surprised to had never see before. Hoping to befriend him todd tries to appear friendly but that only warded off the other kid even faster. Having noticed he never took any rations Todd thought he would go to his own lil food source he found and offer it to him, it worked when it lead to them trying to get more apples from the tree and todd falling out of it. It made the other laugh which Todd was grateful for. Upon their first true conversation Todd learns how the boy also wished things would be different here, that it would change for everyone- and to know someone who dreamed like him was a new feeling. From there Todd and the boy (who he found out was called Varian) slowly started to linger around each other, at first it was just somehow meeting each frequently (kind of- Todd did kind of tracked him down sometimes) to just always meeting at a certain time somewhere. That lead to them just finally deciding to become travelling companions. It was delightful for Todd to have someone he could play with, to call a friend. The same was for Varian as he didn’t form any of social acquaintances, even with the nicest communities around there like Todd at least had done. It was well though, they scraped by and were okay and could rely on each other and that was all they needed. However in their Kingdom there lies many issues, but one thing every lower class citizen is terrified of is the guards. Todd had seen before what they’ve done and will do and knows to not mess with them. Varian was unbeknownst to that unspoken rule as he tried to get his own rations- but with a guard thinking he was getting seconds he called him out. Varian could only stay quiet but knew he was not at fault for that, The guard got annoyed with the lack of communication seeing it as a sign of disrespect however- taking his spear and swung. Todd turned his head when he heard Varian cry out- seeing him on the ground with a gash in his leg, blood spattered on the dirt. He ran to him, profusely apologizing to the guard as he begged the taller man to forgive him, trying to drag varian away- The guard only huffed as he went and focused on some other group to hand food. Todd of course panicking took Varian to a small group he thought could help- They could only do so much though as the the gash was deep and tried to sanitize and stitch it closed. After bandaging him the best advice they could give was to just stay still and don’t reopen it. Varian wasn’t comfortable staying with these people but Todd still somehow managed to convince him. That plan was ruined however when another one of those days came, Todd was unsure why it happened but he knew it was today with seeing so many panicked like last time, he was sure that it was the crowd reacting to what they just saw and running away hiding. Even the community they were staying with left their spot to hide and run away. So with waking Varian up and urging him to get up and come with him- they tried to sneak to near their Tree which was the only place Todd could think of. They didn’t get far as Varian’s wound was reopened. All the excess moving started making him bleed out and the pain was too much, he felt like passing out. Todd felt helpless as he tried to get Varian up after he collapsed, but noticed over looming figures above him fly by. “There here-” he thought, quickly unfurling his wings and grabbing Varian to hide themselves with hovering his wings on top of them. He started feeling Varian's wavered breathing slow down- becoming quieter and quieter. He was really panicking now- what the hell should he do?? Try to move him?? Go back and get supplies and come back?? What if something happens when he is gone??? He can’t leave him- what should he do?? Feeling frustrated and scared Todd cries out for help- hoping someone would come back for them, he can’t carry Varian on his own. He quickly regretted that decision though remembering his circumstance- it was too late however as he felt an over looming figure, seeing the ground get darker under him. He looked up to see a guard- one much bigger than them. She didn’t have a weapon but that doesn’t mean she couldn’t kill them still. He was anxious but desperate, so so desperate to keep him alive. “Are you going to hurt us?” he asked- not shakily but definitely in a tone of fear. The guard over looked them, giving a look Todd couldn’t understand. She reached down however- grabbing Varian in a flash and walking away- Todd scrambled up as he grabbed on to Varian's hand, attempting to pull back- “NO! PLEASE- ” he cried- he felt it as the guard stopped, turning to him with that look again. “Do you think you can you keep up with me?” she said as she lifted up her wings, Todd knew what she meant, and wasn’t really sure he if could but nodded. “Yes, ma’am.” he replied quietly with all the respect he could give and unfurled his wings too. Varian woke up in somewhere new- it was bright. He noticed Todd besides him, he looked tired but happy to see him. He noticed his leg felt sore though- it hurt to move it.

(2/2) Todd explained how they were now in the main Capital region and the situation with the guard and everything. They were expected to become trained for exchange of their medical help. And that they were thrown into- from being educated to learning how to fight and fly. They never really made friends with anyone there- they couldn’t trust any other guard but only kept that to themselves. The only one they did trust was Solaris- the one who took Varian. Todd learned to look up to her and for advice and training. The years passed however as they grew up, eventually falling in love over time and it was peaceful. It ate at them though knowing that the people they used to be around is still down there, suffering. They were grateful for what they had now but they knew it wasn’t right, so in their years they always made plans and possible ways to improve their Kingdom, hoping to somehow put it to play but they just didn’t have that much power yet, no where to propose their ideas to. Though Varian one day overheard some of the higher ranking guards talking of plans for the Sovereign looking for an understudy- a protégé of sorts for themselves by looking for younger individuals here. He took note of how they said it seemed too early for his career as the latest King to be taking a protégé. But Varian pondered on this for days, realizing how much influence such a position might have- far more than just a guard. He could input their ideas he and Todd worked on for years here if he was under the wing of the highest power and maybe change some ways around here- ecstatic he told Todd what he wished to do. Todd of course supported him, helping in any way he could. Varian started to hurl himself in his studies and work even more than ever, thinking that the Sovereign would want someone knowledgeable. His leg was a bit damaged so he wasn’t as good as fighting as Todd was- Todd always joked how he would be his royal knight or something. Varian was right though- there was official news three months later of how they were searching for candidates for the Sovereign to judge and choose, and when that list came out Varian saw in the 6 rows of possible candidates his own name. He ran to tell Todd the news, both so ecstatic for the first step in their dream. The day came as Varian had to go meet the Sovereign, while getting ready with the outfit given to him he could feel his nerves eating at him- all his doubts in his mind bundling up. Todd could sense it as he tried to joke around, but also giving him assurance of how he’s got this, and with how hard he’s worked for this there is no way he would fail. Varian felt relieved to have his partner with him in that moment- giving his last hug for luck before he was escorted to the main building of the capital. That would be the last Todd would see of him for 2 days. Todd could only wait, but he always checked around the main building of the capital for any sign for him. One day however Varian came back to their room- Todd felt relief wash over him as he went to greet him, seeing three extra gold bands on his arm and congratulating him on succeeding, telling how proud he was in joy and excitement. Varian acted the same as before but seemed quieter to Todd though, he knew his pupils hardly ever dilated unlike his which he has no control over- but even then Varian would relax his eyes around him at least sometimes. The interaction was brief though when Varian said he had to go back to the main building and came to get something. Todd thought it would be their papers but it was instead clothes. Todd didn’t say anything, something felt off but just said he would try to visit the capital building later so try to meet him, saying bye when Varian shut the door. He stomach felt wrong somehow. Later Todd did go scout the building after training with Solaris- he saw Varian outside but he was accompanied by some personal guards. They looked ready to fight, Todd wasn’t sure what to fight what until he saw someone on the ground, they looked injured. He watched as Varian nodded and one of the guards started going towards the guy who started to try and scramble away. Todd knew it was going to far- Varian isn’t like this. He rushed to land down between the two people and ordered for Varian to stop- asking what happened to push him this far. Varian looked pissed from the disturbance of the moment as he said with poison from his mouth to “dispose of him”. That took Todd aback, confused and bewildered, but as he saw the guards change their target to him at once he looked back at Varian for answers- he only saw his expression that looked filled with hatred. “He’s serious…” Todd thought, he had to leave, so he took off at once. It wasn’t long before he could see the three guards behind him, he knew two of them had elliptical wings so he knew he could out pace them- the one in front has wings like his and that was the issue. With nothing to defend himself with Todd knew his only option was to run- possibly tire the other out? He wanted to get distance first so he tried to dive and get into a better air current, the other did the same as soon as he went. But Todd wasn’t wary of their weapon when the other knew he wouldn’t catch up so instead halted and took the shot. It was a second later when Todd felt a piercing pain and felt his wing lodge when he tried to move it. He was going to crash, he knew this- he could only try to glide himself to the nearest island of land. It did not help with only one functional wing, hitting the ground hard- and soon follow the other guard and his acquainted. Everything quickly went black for him. Todd then woke up, as if he had slept a thousand years. He felt the dirt and rocks he was on before with something soft, it was dark too. He felt his wings being restricted and at once his memory came back to life suddenly remembering what just happened too, even with his head pounding- he was still alive though so they must be looking for him. “I have to leave” he thought as he lifted himself up, an immediate regretful decision as his body screamed at him, feeling his arms shake from the forceful job of holding himself up. It was too much, he was going to throw up-pass out, something. He heard a creak to his left though as he turned to look- prepared mentally for the worst, but only saw a woman he’s never seen before standing there looking worried. “Oh” he thought as he felt himself collapsing- “it’s just a lady...huh” he plopped down on the bed again as he heard distant talking that seemed to be for him. He didn’t stay awake long enough to find out. OKAY THATS IT BYE

Alternate ending: “dispose of him” as the guards walked towards him, Todd didn’t try to run or fly away. Instead he looked Varian in the eyes hoping he would find any sign of the old Varian he had loved since they were kids and waited for the guards to come. As the guards started to pummel Todd into the ground, all of their memories together started pouring into Varian’s head. Just as a guard was about to deliver the final blow, Todd let out a horse “I love you” that was filled with so much passion and emotion and sadness that the guard almost hesitated before stabbing their spear into Todd’s chest. “WAIT! STOP!” screamed Varian, as he realized that he was about to watch the death of the love of his life, but it was to late. Varian rushed over to Todd’s lifeless body, and realized what he had become. “leave…” Varian quietly said to the guards, as tears poured down his face. The guards looked to one another, and protested “but sir-“ “LEAVE.” Screamed Varian as he collapsed over Todd’s body. The guards flew away quickly, and left Varian to cry over Todd’s body throughout the night until their wasn’t a drop of liquid left in his body, and then he held Todd’s body in his arms and leaped over the edge of the pavilion and fell trough the sky never even trying to unfurl his wings.

Varian has flashbacks of his childhood and history with Todd, and has second thoughts. He yells for the guards to stop but it's too late, Todd's been stabbed. Varian tells the gaurds to leave and rushes to Todd's side. Todd lays on the ground trembling and holding his gut, trying to stop the blood. Varian wraps Todd in his arms and sobs. "I'm so sorry, love!" He cries. Todd closes his eyes and smile to himself a moment, then opens his eyes to look at Varian. "I- I'm sure you had a r-reason.." he says. Varian shakes his head and squeezes his eyes shut. Todd's lips begin to tremble and he feels himself slipping away. "Somebody help us!" Screams Varian. Todd smiles weakly and pulls Varian down to kiss him. "Two.. birds, on a wire.." Todd whispers. Frantic, Varian tries to get Todd up, saying "come on!" Todd takes Varians hand and says "I'm tired..." Varian sinks to his knees again and his vision begins to blur with tears. "I love you, I'm so sorry.." he cries. "I- I know... I... Love you too, Vinny." Todd's eyes close and his hand falls to the ground. Varian sits in silence holding Todd for quite awhile, long after the warmth, all signs that life once existed has left Todd's body. Finally, he's given up. He no longer cares. He takes the nearest weapon he can find and makes his way to the capital, where he murders whoever's in charge, and is later executed. His last words are "We'll meet at our favorite tree, My Love."

@Ğöñ§Šłāvə That's what I thought. Think about it: "And the other......." Like, I'm assuming the one that tried to fly away was the traitor, but the other might have died but they simplified it so it cut off but you still got the base idea

@Ğöñ§Šłāvə basically they kinda simplified the other one dying by cutting off the last part but you still know what happened with the other context going on. Even more simplified: The part where it went "and the other......" Could be referred to the other one dying of injuries and the one who "flew away" surviving Even EVEN more simplified: One flew away from death, but the other couldn't and ended up dying. "One tried to fly away" one tried to conquer death and won "And the other....." The other surrendered to what was going to happen and accepted their sad fate.

I found this earlier and I instantly knew that I would be emotionally invested in this story for the rest of time. My friend agreed with me. And let me just say that I absolutely LOVE characters that have wings. There's not nearly enough in fiction, so I had to go create my own OC. She's honestly my favourite, and the dynamic she has with her best friend is just amazing. The amount of trauma and problems she has tho... Mmmmmm yeah that's not good But this... This is on a completely other _level,_ it's so amazing! I can't wait to see more in the future, and I binged your entire channel already haha.

So I cannot say how many times I have watched this animatic and the other lore animatics for Todd and varían, they are too much, I love them with everything I have and I love your style and your story creation. Love it so much i’ve been inspired to write a story with a similar play through, of course with my own personal twists, different names, different appearances, etc. Of course, I’d hate to just do it without your permission as it’s originally, your idea. I love that they have feather marks on their backs where the wings pop up, I also really like the clothing design. I think that the angle of the shots (the pov) is quite nice as well. You did really good and I enjoyed watching this ^^

I’m pretty sure I found this animatic a few years ago around when I first started watching KZbin I had saved it and never come back to it but now I’ve found it again and I’m like genuinely crying I remember loving it so much
