What an interesting couple of books, Claire! I wish I still had my childhood belongings and books to return to and reflect on. Nice idea (:

I kept quite a few and I've now started to re-buy the books I borrowed at the library! Hoping to keep them for my children.

@@Claire_Fenby That's such a nice idea to buy them the ones you got from the library!! We lost all our belongings, otherwise, trust me, haha I would've kept them all as the hoarder I am haha. Perhaps it was a good thing that happened, otherwise I'd have so much junk from childhood as well.

I've done the same thing. Many of my childhood/teen years books are still at my childhood home. It's always enjoyable to look at the books when I visit. Books have memories attached.

Have you read Alison Weirs ‘Six Tudor Queens’ Novels thus far?! I’m obsessed xx

No, I haven't and I don't know if I will to be honest. So many other books that I want to read first :)

I bought Six Wives very recently from Waterstones and didn’t realise it was this old. Really excited to get to it though. I’ve also read the Other Boleyn Girl in the past and felt it was providing some real insight into life in the Tudor period - it was brought to life rather than just facts. I really thought you were going to include Virginia Woolf when I saw the title and it was great to see another side of your personality. Thanks for sharing!

since you're so into the genre, what are your thoughts on Wolf Hall? god, I've tried to read it twice now - and while the subject interests me so much, the style is just so dry. i feel my mind wandering each time i read it. this video has inspired me to try for the third time - haha
