Very nice. I'm looking at getting a set of these for my '03 dyna. I'll probably do stainless and have the heat shields coated black. Nice looking bike..

I'm torn between this and the v&h upswept. I think v&h makes a fantastic sounding exhaust, and it looks great too, and high rise. But the price, hard to find under $1200 anymore. Yet i can get a stainless tbr comp for like $780

Hi Dynadian, Great review! I'm really interested in getting the two brothers gen II megaphone exhaust in ceramic black fitted on my bike in the spring of next year. The only thing I'm a bit worried about with this exhaust is the discoloration/browning of the black ceramic exhaust. I'm having a hard time finding a video or photo of the exhaust after a year or so of use. How brown will it get? I guess you could spray it black and put on a ceramic coating and it will look as new for a while. I'm also considering wrapping it black with fiberglass wrap but that's a controversial topic, if its good or bad, and I live in Sweden were it rain quite a lot and I heard the wrap can collect a lot of moisture and damage the exhaust over time. Anyway, do you have any plans on doing a follow-up video on the exhaust in the future? I really want to see what the exhaust looks like after a lot of use. Best regards from Sweden! Arvid
@dynadian1185 жыл бұрын
Hey Arvid, If you check out my instagram (@iamdynadian), you can check out one of the last pictures I posted from one of the last riding days of the season (second last picture as of today). You can see the exhaust after about 8 months of usage. Its really not that brown. I don't expect that it will brown much more; but i can't be certain of that. I'm sure it would differ with every bike depending on your tune and environment (as in how hot your exhaust is getting). All I can say is that if the exhaust stays the color it is right now, then i see no need to re-paint. I may do a long-term update in the future. Riding season is still a few months away for us here in Canada so I still have some time to decide on next season's videos. Take care!

How is the sound level when riding down the highway for both you and passenger?. I like the two brothers, but I'm worried about that dreaded drone you get with certain exhaust

No drone. Once of the main reasons I got this exhaust.

Hey buddy I know it gets old with the same questions. However I would greatly appreciate your advice. I’m 5’4 and I was wondering do you think the lucky 13s in 11in would be shoulder height ? Looking to ride long distance with comfort and sometimes aggressive. Or do you believe at 5’4 some one can get away with the 13in with a saddlemen step up pushin them fwd. As well as the bend assisting with reach ? Thank you again and safe travels.
@dynadian1182 жыл бұрын
Hey! oh man that's tough to say... at 5'11", my 14" bars were basically shoulder height, and I would say my torso is long relative to my legs. I would think the 11" bars would be around shoulder height for you. The 11" bars would also be better for you in regards to comfort AND control (in my opinion). If I could do it again, I would go with some shorter bars, and bars with some pull-back (like with the Lucky 13s).

What happened man, this was your last video. I’m thinking about getting a TBR 2 into 1 but I’m looking at the Turnout in black. A lot of people have the comp s with a Saddlemen Step up and I think I’m going to go with the Turnout with my Whiplash Speed Co seat, just switching it up from the normal. I’m also not doing the club style, I love ape hangers and that look so that’s what I’m going with. But, great video! I was hoping you had more recent videos but it seems this was your last one. Hope all is well
@dynadian1183 жыл бұрын
The turnout is a sweet pipe. Apes are cool. Make the bike yours! All is well. Thanks for asking. I just find it weird talking to myself as I ride. Even weirder listening to myself talking as I edit the video haha. I'll likely make some more videos next spring as I have done a few more upgrades since making this video.
@TaterGrabbinBass3 жыл бұрын
@@dynadian118 ya, I can see how that could be weird. I made my first video about a week ago and just uploaded it without any editing, but I did watch it back and listening to myself was weird. I guess you just have to get over that and try to understand that other people don’t know what you sound like so it sounds normal to them. I think I will be making another video showing what I’ve done when I get my bike fixed up from it being backed into in a parking lot and I think I’m going to try to do a Stage 2 on my 2020 Street Bob. Anyways, I’d be down to see what you’ve done to your bike since your last video.

These pipes are super thin (light weight), when they get hot, they definitely can glow and change color.

Good point this is true. Discoloration hasn't been bad in the 3-4 years I've had them, but they can get extremely hot.

I've never ridden an M8 so its hard to compare. From what i've heard, the twin-cam shakes a lot more than the M8. I do not find the shaking from the twin-cam to be unbearable at all though.

Nice vid, did you change the throttle cables because of the height of the handlerbar?
@dynadian1185 жыл бұрын
Thanks. Yes I did change them. I believe you can theoretically get away with using the stock cables; but i was struggling to re-connect them so i went ahead and bought some longer ones. They're very easy to replace. I didn't have to lift my tank.

With your tuner should you be having decel pop? Or would a professional tune get rid of it?
@dynadian1185 жыл бұрын
I believe with the Harley Pro Street Tuner, there is no real way to get rid of decel pop. The tuner really limits you on what you can change. The changes you can make are within the EPA emissions standards. I believe you'd have to increase the fuel in the air to fuel ratio to get rid of the decel pop. You cannot increase the fuel levels enough to fix the issue with their tuner. I actually saw a sign in my local dealership last month which said in bold letters "deceleration popping is completely normal with aftermarket exhausts"... I'm pretty sure that's their way of telling us that they can't fix the issue with the standards they have to abide by. Honestly though, since I've made this video, I've learned to significantly decrease the decel popping with a little throttle control.

Getting lots of back pressure pops with short pipe?
@dynadian1184 жыл бұрын
It pops a lot on low/mid-rpm decel as well as the occasional pop when shifting under 3k rpm; but since i've made this video, I've heard several times that i just need a different tuner as others with aftermarket tuners (instead of the Harley tuner I use) got rid of the popping for them.

@@dynadian118 I've been researching fuel treatment an octane boosters. Found today's fuels crap to yrs past! I carry Coleman stove fuel bottle for octane boost! Add at fuel stop depending on current performance! If I think fuel too hot I add more straight fuel, want more from fuel an motor add more octane boost! Experiment an you'll learn your motor an realize modern fuels crap an engines turned for crap! (I found my octane booster at dollar store)
@timbarnett38984 жыл бұрын
Also, when octane bottle says increase one octane, that does not mean 89 to 90 octane! Octane is measured in "tenths"! So when bottle says increase one octane, that means, "89.1". So, you need ten times more than you think to get to 90 octane! You know then your motor is maxed out on octane boost with downhill deceleration an popping flames!
