I use a can of Fix-A-Flat on a small puncture and it does really well until it comes time to change the tire.

I don't worry about speedometers. As long as I have a headlight and a tail light I'm good.

Your cat is the same colour as mine! 🙂 I loved the exhaust style and the shape of the downpipes on these two great machines so much that I've now fitted the Hitchcock's stainless steel versions to my 2020 Classic 500. An added benefit is that this upgrade de-cats the whole system too. I love the patina on your 350 by the way. A proper working machine mate.

Dear sir. Many thanks for the nice video, and even more thanks for the price advice from yours. Today I laid a bid at the 2003 Bullet 500, far below what the company asked, and got it. They asked 40k, but I told that an English expert proposed some 27k, and that it should be about there. Ten minutes later they called and accepted 30k. 30k in Swedish crown, says about 2100 Sterling pounds, as you suggested. I am happy for that. 😀. This will be my first Enfield, and I am not scared to take care of her. However I would be grateful for any advice. As such, she has done 5407 miles, and I presume oil services are made correctly. I just wonder about things as "de-soot-ing" ie de carbonisation of the combustion chamber. Todays petrol is something nasty, and may perhaps make some hoax in designs of those days. Best regards. Bjoern Johansson Sweden.

@bjornjohansson4911 Hi Bjorn! Well done! My best advice is to buy a workshop manual for the Bullet. It will tell you everything you need to know regarding servicing and repairs. You can find them readily on Ebay or Hitchcocks motorcycles here in the UK. Hitchcocks stock just about anything you could possibly need for the Bullets and they post worldwide! You can order from their online parts books too! accessories.hitchcocksmotorcycles.com/ Wishing you good fortune with your Bullet. VB.

My old Indian built 350 Bullet , pre royal, the g,box case was so poorly cast sections of it were porous. My opinion, worthless, the grease was a bodge to compensate for poor sealing faces. Even with 'sealing grease' the lube mix, grease and oil , would still leak when it got warm. I added a breather through fill plug. Helped a lot but never totally fixed that leak. I enjoy your vids.

@leondown6869 The quality of the earlier ones was pretty dire at best, The very late ones were greatly improved quality wise and 2006-2008 seem to be the best years and the ones I tend to go for!

Good video Mr Brown . The Bullet motorcycle is a gift from the past . A hark back to simpler times and an affordable classic . ( a seat for under 40 quid , amazing ! ) . If you can get yourself into the mindset to enjoy such a bike , you'll be a happy man ( or woman ) . Rust seems to be fashionable these days , they've invented a new word for it - " patina " . A quick rub over with a soft brass brush and then brush on some boiled linseed oil . Then Bob's your Uncle , you are back in vogue again , the height of fashion and rhe centre of attraction everywhere you go . Even the cats approve .😂
@Volcanicbrown18786 ай бұрын
@dungspreader There are some folk who see it as a curse from the past! Although recent (2006 and 2007) they are in no way modern, No ECU's, fuel injection or any kind of technology, other than that from the mid 1950's. That's the appeal, me thinks! "The centre of attraction everywhere I go"? Only the Police seem interested in rusty old vehicles !!.

I live w/o speedometers on most of my motorcycles. Ether it has the wrong one or it doesn't work. The electronic speedometer on my Sportster died and it took HD 3 years to get me a new one. I just get used to it. I actually got a ticket for daudleling. When l pass a radar trailer it says speed up .

The old Bullet 350 pre- unit was a classic British motorcycles. Reliable and dependable transportation. Rebuidlable forever ♾️.l ran into a noise like that and it was the speedometer cable. I had it disconnected. With a URAL side car outfit who needs a speedometer?
@Volcanicbrown18786 ай бұрын
@frankmarkovcijr5459 Well, you need a speedometer on a Bullet to tell you if you are actually moving!

@williamharris4426 I had a Alternator B31 in the not too distant past. Good dependable bikes. You should get around 30K miles on a big end in a Bullet, so you have a way to go yet! Show punctures.. The bad thing is that they slowly became fast punctures ever time if you pump them up. I've tried to dodge the bullet for a months but it's inevitablе at the end. At this moment, I am too use to digital speedos and have some classic bike project in mind myself and thinking of making my own digital speedo the way I want it. With the right size and the right brightness indicators. I use to make my own electronic ignitions back in the day. I know you don't like electronics, some time I don't like them too.. But it's my profession as industrial electronics engineer.
