I love you!! I have started and failed to learn brioche knitting several times, each time with just a mess. Your tutorial is so darn accessible and understandable! “Don’t go out without your shawl. Uh oh, lost your shawl, it wanted to be a belt, get back up there. The first step is knowing it looks weird.” I cannot thank you enough!
@doomfloof1012 жыл бұрын
The shawl that wanted to be a belt was exceptionally endearing.

Stephen, thank you so much for separating the tutorial between Continental and English styles. You create great tutorials normally, and this makes it even easier to understand the instructions when we don't have to transfer back and forth between the two styles together in one lesson. 😊

Thank you for creating the only clear video I've seen on brioche knitting that actually begins with the cast on. I've seen 3 videos in a row that showed brioche knitting from the middle of the project and with instructions that were clear as mud. I'd love to buy you a coffee.

Thank you Stephen! That was the clearest demo of brioche that I have ever seen. I feel like you have opened a whole other world of knitting to me. I have wanted to try some of your beautiful brioche patterns but was afraid. I took a brioche class at a yarn shop years ago. There were about 20 people crammed around a table. I went back for help the next day when I got something wrong. The owner was very rude and told me I needed to learn to read my knitting. I had paid for the class and bought my yarn there. I was not a customer of that shop again and I avoided brioche from then on. I’ve so been wanting to learn. Thank you again. I have bought the Craftsy class too and had watched a little. This really clarifies it all for me and I am going to work on this and watch more of that, as I know she’s a good teacher as well, but I was intimidated by it. You have a wonderful way of explaining things and now I feel I can tackle the class and try Exploration Station which I have wanted to do for years!

I love your analogy about the accessory of the shawl over the stitch! So cute and memorable! Yet another way that you always manage to make knitting so much fun!! Thank you for showing Both the continental and the English style of holding the yarn. I’ve only done the continental watching you do the slipstravaganza. It does seem easier for some things, but purling for me still seems easier throwing from right hand. I’m so excited to pick up my brioche project again that has been sitting in a time out waiting for me!!! Thank you for making this so accessible!

I also have to thank you for the English vs continental video, and the idea of the shawl always Over the stitch to make a brioche stitch!!!! Helps me more than you know lol. Ive watched many videos on the double brioche knitting and some saying I need even number of stitch and then you with uneven number, but I want my sides to be nicer then what I get with the knit 1st & last stitches!!!! Cause I plan on making a blanket with the double brioche and therefore need nice neat sides, uniformity!!! So thank you so much for the help with this video, I believe this is my best option too follow for my future blanket in the beautiful double brioche knit blanket, I’m even going to subscribe and watch more of your content on KZbin, god bless
