Two Dogs Locked in Car in 100 Degree Heat Saved by Cop

A Las Vegas Metropolitan Police officer noticed two dogs tethered in the back seat of a minivan. With her hands, the officer tried to force the barely cracked window further down. When that didn't work, she grabbed a crowbar, and shattered the window. Police say the air temperature at the time was 100 degrees F, and the interior of the van was topping 110 degrees. The little dogs were taken for medical treatment and then to a shelter. The pet owners are under investigation.

The thing is, this is an apartment complex. So it was 100% not a case of "just running somewhere real quick" and not realizing how hot it got in the car. Whoever did this is probably in their apartment, or maybe they were visiting their friend and they don't live here but brought the dogs to leave in the car during a visit. Either way absolutely not a mistake

My friend and I had to call the police about a dog locked in a totally closed up vehicle in 30+ Celsius weather. No sign of where the owner was. Police broke the window and took the limp dog to a vet. We left shortly after as well. I bet the owner called the police as quickly as we did, but the dog would have been dead! Stupid people, stop taking your pets with you, only to leave them in the car! They’re happier at home, your car is intact, you don’t have a big fine and repair bill, and you’re not in jail! 🇨🇦🖖🏻🇨🇦
