The trammel points are awesome. I wouldn't have got out of the first shop without the leatherette case. Great finds thanks for taking us along.

I think the trammell points are pretty cool as well. I’m sure there are a lot of things that we see on videos and think, “that would be neat to have.” I appreciate your visit and hope you have a great week.

This is so true. When I watch my videos or am editing the videos, I’ll see tools and think I wish I would’ve taken a closer look at that.😄 Thanks for your visit and have a great week.

Thank you for the tour, I have COPD and can't get out any more so it's a blessing to see you out and about. I liked the First Aid book earlier in this video.

Thanks for the field trip! I hope you had a Happy Father's Day. I think the shims might be for a starter for a car,they look pretty close. Love the draw knife and the nesting screwdriver is always neat. Thanks again and see you next time,and have a great week.

@@toolscouter Last summer I went out to Montana. On the way, I passed a huge antique shop sitting right off of I-70 in Ohio I want to say it was west of Columbus. There was a place to eat inside. For me it was a bit pricey, but it was a big place. Safe travels and happy hunting!

Like the other comment said G.M.Co makes nesting screwdrivers and nesting hammers , still to this day. The scribe looks like it could have came from a combination square , there was a small hole where you stored on the square. Thanks for the video

Thank you so much for verifying the information from the other comment. I’ll definitely keep it in mind and even look into it. I do know a lot of combination squares had scribes that were included. I’m just not sure which one this one goes to. I will clean it up though and make it look nice. Thanks for your visit and have a great week.

That little scribe looks very much like the ones that come with the metal square/ruler/level tools. I have one and it looks quite similar.

That’s good to know. I know a lot of squares have scribes I just didn’t recognize this one from any that I’ve seen before. Thanks for your visit and have a great week.

George C. Miller patent 1873, made by Detroit Bevel & Divider Co. is the best I can come up with on the Trammel Points, a few puzzle pieces missing but I think that's the basic story. Are those the original screw and washers on the dual spokeshave? They don't look right to me, at least the washers don't. That glass cutter with the brass piece is interesting.
@toolscouter
@toolscouter Ай бұрын
Thank you sir I sure do appreciate it. That information about the trammel points is great. As for the spokeshave, I do believe there are some extra parts there. I’ll have to take a closer look when I redo it but I think your observation is right on. Thanks so much for your visit and I hope you have a great week.

Love those kind of antique stores, was surprised though I didn't see one bench vise in the whole video? Or did I just miss it?
@toolscouter
@toolscouter Ай бұрын
I enjoy them as well. I do remember some bench vises being on the floor but they’re usually so expensive I don’t look into them. I should have considered my audience better and videoed them. I do thank you for your visit and have a great week.

G.M. Co is not General Motors. They are/were a company that a made tools. One of their more interesting tools was the Unbreakable wrench multi tool. They were located in Long Island City a neighborhood in Queens, NY.
