The MTD is not running because the pull cord assembly is not fastened securely, so when you pull the assembly Jumps and won’t hit the flywheel. At least... I think anyway. Good video!!

if its stored at an angle or tipped on the wrong side it will smoke when you start it, the longer its tipped or stored on that angle the more oil it will burn

just remove the spark plug and crank it over til the oil in the combustion chamber is all out then start it and let it burn the rest

on that champion with the backwards engine is an old one cause of the backwards engine that's how they were back in the old days

Even Tecumseh engines were mouted that way. I would think the forward fuel tank of a Tecumseh would help traction on front wheel drive mowers.
