I was working at Borders, a large book store (which are all closed ), so it was kinda like Barnes & Noble... And I was seasonal help hoping to get fun time and a men was buying this "Playboy" with you girls in it and I told him how much I loved the show my manager over heard me and thought it was great customer service (I believe she told me) and I got the job as full time 😀... lol... I loved your fashion style when you did your interviews on the show. I am sorry you went through what you did. For someone looking from the outside in, I admired you ladies (so young) with many responsibilities and a show too! I'm rewatching The Girls Next Door, and I'm loving Bridget too! I was Tom Stabler's neighbor in Chicago! I lived in 5a and him in 5b. Very exclusive building. We had a communal laundry room though, no units were allowed their own washer and dryer. We were on a "Hello" only basis. It just so happened that we would do our laundry on the same night. So awkward folding our laundry next to each other and not talking.. 😅 I knew where he worked but never dared mention it to him.

I can remember when I was watching this episode and so many times on my DVDs that I thought they were setting Bridget up so much especially on the photo shoots I felt uncomfortable like I was physically sick to my stomach!! I also noticed that Kendra was always made to look the best and Bridget and Holly were just never going to measure up I didn't like i!! That's why I'm so glad to hear from you guys it confirms so much of the things I thought for so long!!Plus I think that's why I really never could kind of like connect I don't know if that's the right word or not with Kendra I just felt like she was not someone I could be a friend with in my life but with Holly and Bridget I did !! Just saw the secrets of playboy episode with the "ALLEGED" Mean girls.....and it made me so mad that they clearly lied just to try and discredit Holly and Bridgett. Like all the women who came out with almost the same horrifying experiences, and they hate Holly and Bridget so much that they would go out of their way to discredit all those women. Its disgusting and speaks volumes to who's being honest. The tears seemed fake and manipulating to try and garner sympathy. They were trying to tell "their side of the story" and they just validated what Holly and Bridgett have said.

I’m sorry the producers did that to you and I think they enjoyed playing on your emotions. I honestly think that whole scenario was a complete setup from production to ramp up the drama. That’s a crap move to manipulate emotions like that, but we all know now that “The Powers That Be” were perfectly fine with manipulation and playing the girls against each other, even to the point of cruelty. And then to use Bridget’s discussion when she asked for privacy and put it over another scene without her knowledge? Kevin and Hef totally put that together and it’s disgusting.

This is not about the pod per say but the podcast has brought some thoughts. Okay I will admit when I watched the show in my 20s I was a huge Kendra fan because I was younger, and around the same age I enjoyed her antics. Now that I'm older I see what they did pitting Holly and Bridget against Kendra. Both of these women acknowledge what Hef did that was wrong. Yes, they were appreciative of the exposure Hef gave them but they admit that what he did was wrong to women. The control, the drugs etc, while Kendra refuses to acknowledge and refuses to talk about the whole experience that's suspect to me something about that time frame and Kendra isn't right. As a woman I feel like you should stand up for other women if they are in the right. Separate note: I am a ghost hunter love that u both love ghosts! Keep up the great work I would love more haunted stuff from u both in the future!

I think she had her own layer of drama and stuff going. She's the only one where stuff doesn't make sense, even now. I wouldn't push someone to talk about their trauma, but Kendra has never taken the stand properly. I also think age has something to do with it. She jumped from mansion life to a serious relationship. She never really had time to grow just herself. I do feel bad for her, but anything she's done has made things for herself worse.

Hi Mari, Franken-bited is when they either splice together words the girls said in other conversations to fit the narrative they wanted, you can tell because it sounds choppy. Or they use a completely different conversation taken out of context/order, like they do when Bridget is upset about having to leave the photoshoot early for class and tells Hef about it later - didn’t happen like they portray it in the show.
