I am an oldish guy who came of age in the era that produced classic rock. I began watching reaction videos a couple of years ago because it is fascinating to see the reactions of very young people of diverse backgrounds to the music of my generation. I find Juliet and Mia to be among the most enjoyable of the dozens of reactors. Part of it is their youthful enthusiasm, joyful attitude, and the giggling. But beyond that, although they are among the younger of those posting reaction videos, I always find that they are among the best informed. I respect the fact that they take the time and effort to know who the musicians are and know something about their type of music. Many of their fellow reactors leave me cold because they are completely clueless about the songs, the reputations of the performers, and the history of the music they play and its significance to the time and context in which it was composed. Good work, ladies. I'm a fan.

Ozzy's guitarist, Randy Rhodes (he was killed in a plane crash while they were on tour in the early 80's), was SO good, he doubled all of his guitar leads. He would record them once, then go back, and play along on a second track. They're usually split right and left of center in the stereo mix, so you can hear little inconsistencies in each track, which makes it sound thicker and more interesting. He did it all over this song. He was a big influence on me as a guitarist.

THEN Blizzard of Oz came out, I listened... blown away I spent the next few years practicing 8 or more hours every day. By the time I was around 16-17 I was actually good. But still, I can copy all this stuff but I can't invent it. Man the 80's were some good stuff (hell even the Pop was next level compared to most of todays dreck IE compare say the go-gos/cindy Lauper to Lady Gaga, just melodically, lyrically or even musically.

I saw Ozzy and Motley Crue Bark At The Moon/Shout At The Devil tour on my 14th birthday, March 23, 1984 in Vancouver. I think my dad got the tickets as much for himself as for me because he was a huge Sabbath fan in the 70s and had Ozzy's Blizzard of Oz & Bark At The Moon albums which I borrowed a lot. It was the first I'd ever heard Motley Crue but my girlfriend throughout high school was a fan and I ended up taking her to every Crue show from Theater of Pain to Dr. Feelgood. I got a Tama/Paiste drum kit on that birthday too. The 80s were good times.

Randy Rhoads is the musical genius behind the song. Without his songwriting and guitar playing this album would have been average. Ozzy's albums after Randy died don't measure up to this intensity. No disrespect to any of the other guitar players, but Randy was as revolutionary on guitar as much as Edward Van Halen was. His life was tragically cut short.

UFO was the opener and one of the greatest shows ever put on! John Allen (called Ronnie to make fun of Ronnie James Dio at the time was Black Sabbath’ replacement for Ozzy) handed out water and towels to Ozzy between songs and was later hung during Goodbye to Romance. At the end Ozzy was on a giant mechanical Hand throwing meat 🍖 🥩 into the audience! Got lucky my tour shirt was tucked into my jacket!
