I will always been a heavy rider 260+...6'2". Long legged ... So it's funny to me to see people trying to sit on the seat with their feet flat on the ground I've never been able to ride that way.... I have the seat way up... If my feet flat on the ground the Horn of the seat we'll be hitting about my tailbone.... I have to be able to put all my weight on the pedals... You can't do that with your knees up around your ears 😆

Great review. I think manufacturers should start offering dropper seat posts on these huge e-bikes. I can see why someone would want to flat-foot a bike so heavy, but that results in a horrible seat position for pedaling. A dropper seat post would solve that. I'm surprised I haven't seen any e-bike reviews using them.

I recently got the Aventon Aventure II, based on info I got from one of your earlier videos, so I definitely agree it's at the top of the heap. This is my first e-bike, and I'm loving it. People I show it to are all impressed by the quality of material and construction. I purchased the Large frame version, since I'm 6'5", and it feels perfect. I do agree the standard seat is a bit stiff, but that's my only complaint. I've upgraded to Class 3, and confirm your top speed. I'd been comparing Giant and Trek, because they had local shops for me, but I found another shop 2-hours away handling the Aventon bikes, and that sealed the deal ... having service availability was key. Giant and Trek were too expensive.
@CitizenCycle925 Жыл бұрын
awesome, i'm glad it has worked out for you. it really is impressive bike in person compared to some others at the same price point. Most of the bike shop, name brand bikes are way too expensive but i guess you have the service aspect to consider.

Man I wish I had known more about that juggernaut before I had purchased my Magicycle Cruiser. I wanted 52v+ and at the time stay with a legal 750w. The higher amp controller was not a priority and it should be. I do wonder (I ordered a Wired Cruiser because of this) if the top speed can be increased on the Juggernaut without major mods? Even the 28mph on my Magicycle got old real quick.

Hey Bryan, nice presentation! But I have to disagree with you 😂. I think that the Bee Cool Adventure is the best option for a lot of folks. Comes with a 21 amp battery, dual suspension, fenders, back rack, turn signals, head light, horn, etc. and a 2 year warranty. I love mine and even like it more than my Arial Rider Grizzly which cost twice as much. BTW, right now BC is offering a free extra battery with any bike.

Fair enough! everyone has their preferences. i would still take the Grizzly over Bee Cool. i think it worth the higher $$ all day long

Can you post a link to the throttle for the Aventon? I also hate the thumb throttle and the fact that there's only room for it on the left side. Also, unfortunately the top speed of 33 mph is no longer true; Aventon updated the app and they lowered the max pedal assist speed to only 28mph, so don't connect the app to your bike again, it will update the bikes firmware and hobble it. Delete that app.
@CitizenCycle925 Жыл бұрын
in my Aventon App i could only set my speed to 28mph, but i found that the bike will actually keep assisting me to about 32mph before cutting out. i bought the throttle from Luna Cycle but they are always out of stock, you can find them on eBay, or here is another link i just found www.electrifybike.com/products/throttles?variant=43086564032761

Correction, i just looked at it and my app will allow me to go to 51kph (31.6mph) was not aware they lowered this :( that's a bummer, i dont like showing things customers cant have.

I've been watching a lot of videos lately of yours on ebikes. I was looking at the Aventon Adventure 2 but also saw your videos on the Wired bikes. Do you have a comparison of those two and how is the Aventon with climbing hills? I noticed that was said about the biketric but not Aventon.
@CitizenCycle925 Жыл бұрын
i dont have a comparison of Wired and Aventon. Pretty different bikes. Wired is a powerful beast in comparison to Aventon, but Aventon has sleeker styling and probably better fit & finish. Aventon climbs hills okay, its pretty standard 750w power delivery, peaks just over 1100w i think..
@Gary-1091 Жыл бұрын
@CitizenCycle925 Thank you for the information. I did see the Aventon Adventure.2 hasld 1130w. I've been leaning to Aventon given they seem to be one of the top brands but I like the power of the Wired but just unsure on the company.

It's frustrating to me that they sent you a bike with 3 inch tires, because I've been trying to purchase one from Biktrix for over a year, but the tire size and frame color combination I wanted is always out of stock. Clicking on the above link shows the 3 inch tires aren't currently available in any color. After patiently waiting for several months, I finally gave up and ordered the Wired Cruiser (unfortunately with 4 inch tires) which is scheduled to be delivered later this month. I like that Biktrix has many options, but in reality, I found the availability of the options is not as advertised.
@CitizenCycle925 Жыл бұрын
Hi Gary, the bike they sent me was a used demo bike from their showroom floor, sorry to hear that you couldnt get your hands on one when you needed it. but you could always switch to skinnier tires on your Wired bike... 3.5in would definitely fit, maybe even 3.0

How are those RST Forks? I've heard different things. I've heard for FWD or AWD they are the only way to be. I've also heard they only have 75mm of travel and don't do well on tough terrain (rocks, roots, jumps) anybody have experience with those forks?

So Aventon is faster. Biktrix is more powerful but a bit slower (3 mph slower). Biktrix comes with a bigger battery in frame, and it also has the option for dual battery up to 34 amps. Also the batteries which are 52 volt as opposed to the Aventon 48 volt single battery. Just wish the Biktrix could get to 28 mph.

Unless your 6'2" + you don't need the large size frame. I'm 6" and I feel the large frame is too big . They claim I'm in the size range for the large frame so I got it and it's very big. I basically have my seat squated and I'm still not flat footed. They seriously should have one size and longer seat height range or atleast claim larger frame built for very tall people instead they claim large frame is good for anyone 5'6" and up. No way.
@rayrussell6258 Жыл бұрын
Larger frame improves ride and handling; I would go for that, even if I was 6 foot. It's not that hard to step on the pedal and raise yourself up to the seat when starting out.
