My experience has been family doctors have been reduced to triaging to "specialists" (dispersed responsibility). This means the old relationship with the family doctor has been lost. It is not in the doctor's interest to care about the integrity of therapeutic techniques. I have heard a doctor shrug his shoulders and claim he is effectively "just following orders". Without some penalty accruing from this lack of a duty of care (beyond massively costly legal cases by the patient) there is no way the behaviour of the medical profession can be changed. We need a points system similar to traffic offences so that a doctor slides into a red zone indicating he is failing. As with motorists this will focus their attention - instead of relying on professional indemnity insurance to bail them out. If course, this would mean a body of senior specialist, a group or panel of "elders" be set up to investigate trends like Transgenderism, and vaccine injuries.
