I hope and pray to every God in the cosmos that we will get tameable and rideable monsters in a mainline game that's like World. You could use something like Nerscylla and use it's webbing to wait high above the ground and once your target is below you, Nerscylla can jump down and use her webbing to ensnare the monster

That would be amazing! I imagine if/when we get our first mainline Stories game, there will not be many monsties to choose from. I could be wrong, but I imagine they'll start with a handful of good ones and go from there if they make more.
