It is a shame that guy was in the way, maybe next time will be better footage. Glad to hear we have a girl!!! Another Princess... It's the first time iv'e seen them use the head covering, I wonder why, anyone know? Maybe since the Sauces baby nipped Matt???

The head covering calms and quiets the bird. You’d think it would have the opposite effect. LOL

The helmet is put on to calm the eaglet and provide less stimulus. It really works well!

Agree. There seemed to be more photography than strictly necessary. I guess maybe it could lead to more publicity and then more funding for eagle programs as a result? Hopefully?
