Wow.When I watched the younger mares-Frieda,Gea,Geertje,Ginny and Hester-trot out and into the pasture I was blown away how beautiful,how elegant and sleek,they are.Younger versions of their beautiful mothers.You can see at once that they are star mares-two,I believe,are provisional crown mares as well?-and I can't wait to see how they do in the future.I'm sure they will have amazing foals! When I first started watching the herd,Jacobien,Jildou,Klaske,Lieke,Lina and Lianne were the new babies.Time is funny,it doesn't seem that long ago,and yet they are all "young ladies" with sleek coats and long manes and tails,and there have been two more generations of foals born since then.

when I was growing up in central Ohio with cows and horses on my parents’ farm we had a similar distinct call to bring in the cows and horses from large pastures - in our case it was “hup hup hup hoooooah!” in a singsong chant, I haven’t heard it for over thirty years now but Yvonne calling in the mares brings back sweet memories from my childhood summers ❤️

I loved seeing Sjors going between the two herds to check on everyone. Reintje saying 'hello' to her leader. Geertje really is a pretty mare just waiting for her to have foals someday in the near future. Seeing all the horses eager to go back into the barn all mixed up into one large herd. The rainbow was so big and I'm glad Oda stopped to admire it, too.

Pretty funny to watch the musical stalls whenever they head inside. And them trying to look so casual when they double or triple up in a stall. Three, full-grown Fresian horses in one stall would not make for a comfortable night! Why try? Although, maybe they all called "dibs" at the same time? 🤔😆

Photography in this video was especially amazing. The rainbow was beautiful of course but the stormy skies, the wind with a little rain, the horses’ silhouettes, everything seemed magnificent to me. Your videos are always wonderful and pull on my emotions for a myriad of reasons one of which is the visual beauty. Sometimes it’s the intense saturated colors, sometimes it’s the silhouettes, many times it changes in one video. I think this time, visually it had to do with the stormy sky & the atmosphere that created as a backdrop to the herd, which are always the focal point. You really are quite exceptional at this.
