Loved seeing Burberry being featured on an influencer's site. I always wondered how come, that especially English influencer don't buy Burberry anymore. I bought 2 years ago the classic one and than last year a light quilted jacket. So happy with the quality and timeless piece.

After 15yrs of my hubby begging me to buy a classic Burberry trench, I finally saw one I liked in black with a contrast stitch in white, just before the world went into lockdown in 2020. I do love it and usually style it casually, jeans or leggings for example. I’ve always struggled with the fact they aren’t warm enough (for me) so it only has been worn a handful of times because of that. Like the idea of sizing up so you can easily layer it over other numbers etc. maybe will try that next time. One thing about black is that it does lose its shine after time and looks a bit aged, so next time I might go for a beige. Love the colours you’ve chosen though. Also love MyTeresa they’re great.

Has it ever bothered you how much stiffer the fabric is on the new versions of the Burberry heritage trench coats? I bought one less than 2 years ago that had a nice, softer, flowing 100% cotton garbardine, and tried a newer version yesterday that was so much heavier, sturdier and stiffer. I'm wondering if it's bothersom, or even if the fabric "breaks-in" a bit after wear....if you have any thoughts, I'm all ears.

Been after that trench like you, put off put it off. But this year I have a dream list of loewe puzzle medium navy and black handles, burberry trench, leather trousers. Universe if you are 👂. Loved how you styled the trench.

Loved this video! Also, your Gucci case is gorgeous. I have two Burberry Trenches. One I bought 6 years ago and the other 3 years ago. They are definitely worth the investment. The first one I bought is a Balmoral sisal beige and is more classic in style, the second is a technical fabric (ECONYL) trench in a honey beige which is a relaxed style great to wear casually. I live in Australia, so neither of mine are full length as we don't get the weather for that style here. Both of the styles I have are good for those looking for something for a warmer climate.

I have a trench collection lol... love them that much. I lived in NY for 12 years and used to wear them a lot more than the winter coats so that's when I started adding styles to my collection. I find that I can wear them even in the winter with thick sweaters and they work fine, love the light weight nature when you need to carry them in your hands or purses. Now I moved to Miami and left all my winter coats and brought with me only the trenches because I know they are more versatile than winter coats and you don't need a lot of space to store them. Love trenches and yes, Burberry is my next buy for sure because I know the cost per wear is going to be down to nothing

I am sad I ”invested” in a Burberry trench coat six years ago. Even though I got it a size up atthe time, and my size has stayed the same, times have changed and the trench coats have changed. The style I got was the most classic at the time (Kensington) but itlooks so outdated now! And I can`t layer much. Now I would needto update to an oversized fit. I had the same experience when in 2009 I ”invested” 2k to a leather jacket and in 5 yrs the fitted style was outdated. I do think it is best to buy the best we can afford but I no longer believe clothes will be long term investments.

You have a point however two things I would say to this. Your style will come back around. Oversized is a trend, classic is always classic and I still think your one is nice and “classic”. If I saw someone wearing a fitted Kensington I would think it was classic for sure. I know I said “classic” too many times but I think you get it 🤣

@mybagoftheday: yes I totally agree with you , love the oversized look, however the Kensington trench is such a classic timeless piece . I bought one as well 5-6 years ago and to make it look more modern I usually style it with a high neck white jumper, black leather trousers , black combat boots or black chelsea boots ..plus a bag and a pair of sunglasses. Hope my small suggestion will help you wear your trench more 🙂🙂

I didn’t have a trench until quite recently but now I love them and have one from Halogen that looks very like your Burberry except for the lining being different, and an off white one from Everlane. I live in Melbourne and when I was working in the city I had to hang about on train platforms before dawn and after dusk and I needed an overcoat for that. But now I am retired and go out mostly during the middle of the day an overcoat is usually too warm but a trench is perfect and I am right into them now. I really like your Gucci case. I am not a fan of LV monogram and it worries me that it’s so loud and recognisable that a case in it has “steal me” written all over it. The Gucci one is so much more subtle and elegant. A Gucci fan would recognise it but most of the population would have no idea that it’s anything but a really nice case.
