I verticut my lawn every two 3 weeks this year with Bosch verticutter to keep the poa away and it has helped a lot

newbie hear, counted 26 blade segments on your verticutter , curious do you need to shapen them ,how often do you need to sharpen them , 1 year every 3 years or are they like lawnmower blades, and sharpen very often , great results , use to have relatives your way , hows scott mans stump on rivertion pike , happy memories , many thanks for posting

Hi Dan Great vlog 👌 Do you remember that fertiliser “Green Gold” it was a high nitrogen fertiliser back in the late 80’s and 90’s and we used it at the Belfry for a few years as obviously we could keep up with the growth being planned golf course maintenance

Great tip about using the rotary after verticutting to cut the stood-up lateral growth! Last time I did it i used the cylinder and the front roller just flattened it before the blade got it 😅

If it looks like it needs it yea, always 1 step back 3 forward your lawn will never look mint everyday for the whole of the summer, dont be fooled thinking wembley looks like matchday everyday just we dont see it constantly being groomed

I've seen greenkeepers cover the grass at night with black tarpaulin. The leatherjackets come out overnight and they remove the tarp and then sweep the little buggers up

I have spent the last month digging annual meadow grass out of my front lawn. I have taken that long because doing it gets on the points of my bosoms after a while and i have to stop. My lawn now looks like the surface of the moon. hopefully i will be repairing that with grass seed by the end of the week. But i can see tiny AMG seedlings getting stronger. how do i stop those little blighters like you have with this lawn.?

OK so now that I have dug the big amg blighters out I have got to start on the seedlings which i can see more of. Do they need digging out too or can I just cut them off really short at the base with some sharp needle nose scissors?

I applied slow grow and Dan's magic a couple of weeks ago and the top growth has really slowed down. Seen a bit of yellowing on the underneath so applied grace, Stella and orbit as they were due. I don't have a verticut attachment so I did a very light scarify (highest level). Am I ok to apply equilibrium and Dan's magic this weekend - last dose of equilibrium was about 5 weeks ago?

Bout 3-4 week but its going to take 2 week to kick in so will be 5-6 before it kicks in, this lawn sand based so leaches nutrition quite bad.

Hello Daniel, how do i control the red ants in my front lawn, theres loads been there for years. Ant powder does not quell them....they are doing my head in. Ant hills in the lawn, bare patches....i just want a nice green lawn is that too much to ask of these ants!! Gonna start charging them rent! Any workable help would be appreciated.

What is the best way to combat Ants in your lawn, I have followed everything you have done and have a great lawn, but recently I have seen three or four soil piles where the Ants are pushing the soil up. 100% Ants as when you scrape back the soil they have pushed out there are lots of ants and eggs.

I recently put Stella, Orbit sowpro and grace on my lawn and then a week later went in with Equilibrium at the recommended dose. Unfortunately it’s made my grass yellow and stop growing. I watered it jn immediately and continued with water every day multiple times weather permitting. Any ideas please? 😢

Apart from a verticutter attachment is there any other way of making the grass stand up. With either the scarfier or rake attachments ? Im having difficulty in some areas where the grass is so flat i cant get any purchase on it to cut it shorter? When i use the cylinder it just flattens the grass even more! Its really frustrating 😤😤 Thanks
