Very well explained as always. Timing my scalp this year has been difficult with the temps not being consistent, but in our neck of the woods you get used to it. I had a run in with dallis grass last year. What a nightmare! Would love to see a video of your take on how to get rid of it.

Thanks man. Yeah, the weather is in roller coaster mode. Freeze likely tonight and tomorrow night. I have never had to deal with bad dallis grass, fortunately. I had a little pop up at my first house and I hand pulled every bit of it right away when the ground was really soft after rain. Hope this helps a little. I wish I had more insight for ya. White clover, poa, and crabgrass, I know but not so much dallis. Thanks again. Have a great rest of the weekend.

Pro-Tip: if wanting a cheap alternative non-selective, the gallon made by Bayer is only about $11 as a ready-to-use. The downside is the sprayer is all but unusable because it’s like 3” long. To apply it you have to either hunch over or spray most into the air. Just use it as a refill jug for a proper sprayer.

Thank you! We have st Augustine so we need the purple. I have never used the liquid before. We have done just the fertilizer and water for a year and we have done the weed and fertilizer pellets. They have done alright but we still heve those nasty stickers and bahia grass and now some dandelions. The st Augustine part looks really good so im going to try the purple liquid to help our lawn. 🔥 We have always used spectricide the white for our walkways and driveway and patios. Great products

Thank you. Glad I can help. I like to wait until temps are warmer with highs in the upper 70s, low 80s. It just works faster with warmer temps. You can do it with cooler weather but it takes a bit longer to work. Hope this helps. Appreciate ya watching.

I have trees planted with a round border that has mulch. What would you spray to kill the weeds/grass growing next to the tree without damage tree. I have been just doing it by hand so that I don’t kill the trees

Hey trav!! I have been applying the pre emergent, but still have quite a few I want to get rid of before scalping. I was about to spray my Atrazine, but I noticed some of my Bermuda going green. Will a selective herbicide from spectracide kill that Bermuda you think?

I wouldn’t use the atrazine on Bermuda coming out of dormancy. Only if it’s completely dormant. The other Spectracide selective herbicides will not kill the Bermuda. Thanks dude.

Double check my calculations with me. I’ve got a 15 gal boom spreader to pull behind my gravely. The orange label spectracide is what I am gonna use in about an hour. It states 6.5oz/1000sq ft I’ve got about 21k sq ft of yard so that is 136oz of product. How many gallons should I be mixing in my tank? I’m having trouble finding that to help me calculate it? Maybe 15gal to 40oz bottle?

The product label gives a little more info than the website so check it out. But this is how I would do it, which is the max allowed by the label and label is law.

@@AznSyko34 raked out the brown, put down some fresh top soil and watered it consistently so it could fill it. Took the summer to get it back decent. Sold the house before it was back to 100%
