ഇതാണ് എന്റെയും കൂട്ടുകാരുടയും ജീവൻ തിരിച്ചു കിട്ടിയ റോഡ് . 2004- 2005 ആണെന്ന് തോന്നുന്നു ജോലി ചെയ്യുന്ന ലാബിൽ നിന്ന് ഫ്രണ്ട്സ് എല്ലാം കൂടി ഓണത്തിന്റെ അവധിക്ക് valpara പോയത്.ഇത് പോലെയുള്ള ഒരു സ്ഥലത്ത് വെച്ച് കാർ നിയന്ത്രണം വിട്ട് റോഡിന് വലത് ഭാഗത്തുളള മൺ തിട്ടയിൽ ഇടിച്ചു. പെട്ടെന്ന് സ്റ്റീയറിങ് ഇടത്ത് ഭാഗത്തേക്ക് തിരിച്ചപ്പോൾ തലകീഴായി മറിഞ്ഞ് ഒരു മരത്തിന്മേൽ ഇടിച്ചു ലോക്ക് അയി നിന്നു. ദൈവാധീനം കൊണ്ട് ആർക്കും കാര്യമായ പരിക്കുകൾ ഒന്നും പറ്റിയില്ല.accedent കണ്ട ഫോറസ്റ്റ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥർ പറഞ്ഞത്. ആ ഭാഗത്ത് മാത്രമേ മരങ്ങൾ ഉള്ളത് . കുറച്ചു മാറി ആയിരുന്നു accedent sambavichathenkil നേരെ കൊക്കയിലേക്ക് വീഴുമായിരുന്നു എന്ന്. ഇപ്പോഴും ലീവിന് നാട്ടിൽ പോകുമ്പോൾ ആ വഴിയിലൂടെ മലക്കപ്പറയിലക്കോ പൊള്ളച്ചിയിലക്കോ ഒന്നു പോകും.പോകുന്ന വഴിയെല്ലാം എത്ര ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചു നോക്കിയാലും ആ സ്ഥലം കൃത്യമായി തിരിച്ചറിയാൻ വയ്യ. ഇപ്പൊൾ റോഡ് എല്ലാം കുറെ മെച്ചപ്പെട്ടു. അന്ന് അതിരപ്പിള്ളി വരെ റോഡു നല്ലത് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നുള്ളൂ. പിന്നെ കുണ്ടും കുഴിയും മാത്രം. മലക്കപ്പാറ റോഡിലൂടെ touristuukalum കുറവായിരുന്നു. എന്തായാലും ഈ വീഡിയോ കണ്ടപ്പോൾ ഒരു പാട് വർഷങ്ങൾ പുറകിലോട്ട് ഓർമകൾ സഞ്ചരിച്ചു. നന്ദി.

ഭാഗ്യം എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞാൽ മതി. ഈ യാത്രയിലും അതുപോലെ ഒരു സംഭവം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ബൈക്ക് ആക്സിഡൻ്റ് ആയി വഴിയിൽ കിടന്ന രണ്ടു യുവാക്കളെ ബസ് കണ്ടക്ടറും ഞങ്ങൾ യാത്രക്കാരും ചേർന്ന് ബസിൽ എടുത്ത് കിടത്തി കാടിനു പറത്തെത്തിച്ചു. ആർക്കും റേഞ്ച് ഇല്ലാത്തിടത്തായിരുന്നു അപകടം. പോരാത്തതിനു രാത്രിയും. അതിരപ്പിള്ളിയിൽ എത്തിയപ്പോൾ ഫോറസ്റ്റ് ഗാർഡുകൾ അടുത്ത പോലീസ് സ്റ്റേഷനുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട് ആംബുലൻസ് എത്തിച്ചു. വെറ്റിലപ്പാറയിൽ നിന്ന് രണ്ടുപേരെയും ആംബുലൻസിൽ കയറ്റി ആശുപത്രിയിൽ കൊണ്ടുപോയി. അതിലൊരാൾ അബോധാവസ്ഥയിൽ ആയിരുന്നു. പിന്നീട് ആശുപത്രിയുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ടപ്പോൾ സുഖം പ്രാപിച്ച് വരുന്നതായി അറിഞ്ഞു. മദ്യലഹരിയിലായിരുന്നു ഇവരെന്നാണ് മനസിലായത്. ബോധമുണ്ടായിരുന്ന ആൾ ആ നിലയ്ക്കാണ് പെരുമാറിയിരുന്നത്.
