'I gave him up for dead' OMG!! I'm dying!!! That's hilarious. I once had an email from a scammer claiming to have my trunk full of money at my nearest airport (I live in a small city, so it's not like we have an abundance of airports nearby, lmao), but he got taken in by customs and I needed to send money so he can get a certificate that would guarantee to customs that there were no drugs in the trunk. I emailed him back that I had notified customs at my nearest airport and the he, indeed, was carrying drugs so I hope he can run fast with a big trunk...I imagine he's still running because I never heard from him again.

A scammer asked (after communicating daily for several weeks) what had been my experience with scammers? Had I ever run into one? Did I fall for it? Then he shared how HE had been scammed...said he fell for a scammer and had sent her 2 thousand dollars. I replied that “I would NEVER send money under any circumstances -would never send anyone even one penny”. Guess what ? After communicating for several weeks- I never heard from him again ( guess I said the magic phrase)

Getting kidnapped by pirates is higher up on the gullibility and naïveté scale. First is the lost wallet, minor accident, money to fulfill a contract, nanny emergency, surgery for daughter, frozen bank account, duty and bribes for a box of gold, airfare so “I can come join you’........ if you’ve already been asked 5,6,9,12 times and sent $$$ to someone in another country that you’ve never met, why would you stop at “my Queen, I’ve been kidnapped by pirates?”

Second story: I never heard anyone didn't know where they were living until they were the age of 18. Usually young people/kids learn where their location is while in school. As for not knowing what school he went to is another sign this scammer didn't do any research to back up his story to sound legit. Either a young man/woman or little kids (under the age of 21 has never used a computer and doesn't know where any of the countries around the globe are located. Scammers can make me laugh at times. Well the friend needed money not your problem it's their problem, send a small amount is a test to see how far you can go in giving up your money. Once they see you're able to part with it they'll keep asking for bigger bigger and bigger amounts until you can't give anymore.

I got asked once to do a video chat where the scammer would be able to see me but not the other end, I told him "I'm sorry my camera is broken, my internet sucks and I have no previous/newer pics of me. Of course I use fake pics to send them anyways. THEY like taking the pictures to use in their rituals to get you into doing stuff you would never thought you would do like sending money. Someone did a video on that topic about the romance scam and the rituals they do with pictures of their victims to get them to do what they did. Recently I GOT an email from a scammer about a job, he found my resume on indeed and sent me an email giving some details of the job. OF course I did check the site. It was a fake against the real website that does good deeds for those in needs or something like that. OF course I never did gave him anything real when asked for age, full name. address and phone number and email address. HOW I knew it was a scam well it was stated in the email that I would get a check and I had to take out what's being paid to me and I had to send the remaining balance to someone or someplace for the supplies to start working, I blocked him.

Every American soldier has an official email address that ENDS in .mil. For example: [e-mail]. It is a bit different depending on their service but ALL end in ".mil" ALL personnel are allowed to use their official email for personal communications. So, the solution is quite simple: ask them WHILE you're chatting online (to make sure they can't claim their internet is down or something) to send you an email from their .mil account ON THE SPOT so they don't have time to spoof it. If they refuse, claim they cannot use it for personal messages or any other BS.......RUN! Also, if they have a Facebook profile check for: a) family members with the same surname in their friends list - if they have none....RUN! b) friends from the same hometown - if they have none....RUN! c) if their friends list is private, check likes and comments under their photos. If they have none from family members or friends from the same hometown.... you know what to do by now, right? R.U.N!!

My Stepsister, told me she met someone, I figured she had met someone through her friends, the following week, she told me that the man had a 10 yr old daughter and he was a widower, my heart was in my throat, because I have either read or heard from someone else's stories. She continued telling me he worked on an offshore oil rig, then she said his daughter is staying with a nanny. I then asked her if they talk frequently she said because of his job it's not always easy to keep in contact. I don't want to hurt her feeling, but yet told her I was concerned, she said she had done a background check on him, I then told her that these people steal names. i got one now his name is ken howard ,i want to play with him for a while ,hes on an oil rig in hawaii lol lol exwife cheated ,child in boarding school ,looking for a good woman,and goes to church every sunday ,this one is so boring ,he keeps asking for photos of me ,which i wont give ,i have over 10 of him ,,lol lol pictures of dogs cats ,he cant name the oil rig ,also before the oil rig he was in ohio,i saked him hows the weatherin ohio ,he said really bright and sunny ,did he not know its snowing and the worse weather in years ,omg omg i laughed so much,they never do their home work ,i blocked him arse hole

He do that to me too with Google gift card and iphone card/ steam card too collect those card to be able to have internet. what wise using me for internet then his doing his work to other to fool.me and others with my money(internet).using me too./ yes in the beginning I suspect it why have to rush to be in-love now I know after to just collect money..that is how it begin to fool the victims..
