I also said make a video showing me how..lol remember u guys came to me ..since video production is how I make my living I take development different then the normal oh im a youtube junkie ...so the lens im using mostly is a sigma 18-50 @ 2.8-4.5 stay at that lens with that conditions

ok im subing..but only if u can do a video on how to get DOF with lense thats stops at 4.5 but ur meter is telling u the best lighting is 2.8...i own the 7D n 60D n im struggling achiving DOF...i shoot video...not stills

Mind u I don't want or I can't change lenses cause I would lose the shot n the lighting can't change to effect the depth so all I have in this condition is the 7D a cine meter n the sigma 18-50mm 2.8-4.5 zoom. Looking for shallow depth of field but due to lighting my meter is giving a faster f.stop then 2.8

@greenhillcamera sadly ur answer didn't help at all..since I have the 50mm 1.8 that u talk about..but that's not what I asked about it was about the light meter working with the lense to find DOF or let me say it like this; if the meter is telling me 2.8 at iso of 640 but my given lens is at 4.5 then how can I through the meter get to give me a reading that would lead me to get blurred out BG. I have 7 lenses four fd's primes at 2.8 n one is 1.4 but i use zooms most cause the flexibility

@greenhillcamera im sure someone else will try n answer but the question was directed to u since u guys sent me a friend invite im like ok if u want to be friends then answer this...don't tell me how to cheat by buying a lenses through the condition I stated give me answer friend ..don't talk apples n oranges when im talking 2+2 equals what?
