I didn’t know this book is packed with so much. I can see how it can show aspects of Morden society. It’s interesting that the system is so efficient that it’s over fifty years since the books first publication but these problems of race are still present for African Americans, at least that’s how I see it without first hand experience. This book is also so short which is shocking now that you mention what’s in it. Big topics. This book is a must read.

Honestly, it has been so long since I read Invisible Man and I still think about it. I was able to read this book in my high school English class, and I really need to read it again. It was amazing then, but I know for sure many things went over my head just due to my limited knowledge at the time and youth. I need to pick it up again!

I would bet that if you read it again now, you would pick up on so much more just by virtue of being older and more aware of various cultural/systemic issues!
