TWO NEW FILM STOCKS!

Today we have the exciting news that there are two new film stocks that we are going to be able to get our hands on soon. The first is FOMA Ortho 400. This is an orthochromatic 35mm black and white film. This film was released by Foma last year in 120 format and is now making its way to 35mm. The next is the new Lucky film SHD 400 black and white film. This film is a panchromatic film and we hope that it will be quite a bit cheaper than the other options on the market, due to it being a Chinese film stock. It's always exciting to get new film stocks, and it's rare that we get two new ones in such close succession. Exciting times!

I love Fomapan, and I am eager to try orthochromatic film. By the way. call it Czechia, or the Czech Republic, or you can call it Bohemia, as it is the region of that country where they are located I think. But Czhecoslovakia does not exist anymore!

i would love ore Infrared black and white films. If color dies off, they would be a perfect option to take any kinds of color photos using trichrome.

Film seems to be doing well recently, my lab has been slower to get me my film (they usually get it done quick because I don't get scans from them) but they've told me they've had more film to process than they've had in years. New film stocks, lots of new shooters, makes me happy

You said Lucky recommends exposing their “400” film at ISO 200. Are the cartridges DX-coded for 400 or 200?

I've been shooting the LuckyPan SHD 400 film that I purchased from REFLX labs. Looks good at 200 and 400 especially if you like lots of contrast

I have three rolls of SHD 400 and two rolls of SHD PRO 100 waiting to be shot. I already shot one SHD 400 a couple of weeks ago and was pleased, but will have to increase development time for the next one.

Cheaper doesn’t mean it’s all good. If there’s not enough profit producers will fall. And that might be just the one producing the filmstock you loved so much.
