My husband (51 y.o.) just had open heart surgery (he’s doing great) I got to the hospital today and as we sat here I played todays video and when he heard Laura’s happy greeting he chuckled and said “so glad I’m here to listen to that every morning!” Garden video is our morning tradition❤️

I am wondering if it wasn't a huge success since most of the bulbs were short ground huggers. A tiny glimpse looked like weeds were being invasive or the blooms were miniscule. I know there has not been a video. Meadow type gardens are notoriously difficult to start since weeds find them irresistible.

😭 your videos are part of my morning routine- wake up, feed the cat, make some tea, watch Garden Answer. I decided to do some heavy cleaning this morning and couldn’t wait to sit down to watch a video, until I realized it was Saturday and there was a good chance there wouldn’t be a new one. Resigned, I checked my subscriptions anyway, and low and behold, we were all gifted a boost of serotonin after all 😂💗 but truly what a light your videos shine! I thnk the most valuable things I've learned from Laura when I started watching a couple of years ago is to be daring with gardening! Not to be too afraid to mess up. To put things where they may or may not need to be moved! My gardening friends have started to seek me out for advice now and I always advise to be daring 😂 "Give it a try!" I say 😂

Hi Laura! I just started putting drip in my flower beds and have been having the hardest time with unraveling it. I thought to myself “Laura doesn’t have this problem!” This video made me smile cause it’s shows the real process of gardening and that even Laura can have the same struggles that I may have. Lol now I want to go work on what I was so frustrated to finish. Thanks Laura for the inspiration ❤️

I live in mountainous northern New Mexico and deal with daily deer pressure. One of the two or three truly deer resistant plants in my flower garden is hyssop (the mule deer here even eat my alliums). It, naturally, has become my favorite! The smell (anise-mint), the grace, the color (gray-green leaves, salmon flowers), the size, the pollinators (hummingbirds FLOCK to it) are wonderful. Looking forward to buying a new variety next year. Thanks for the heads up!

I know it's an old video but I have 2 Meant To Bee's and need to plant and had to check out your video. I was so cracking up watching you unwinding the tubing then you say, "Aaron is dying laughing right now" then I belly laughed. "Opps, I just stepped on an echinacea, I hope the echinacea are tough". Very entertaining video. Echinacea are incredibly tough because I've done my best to kill them over and over, not on purpose just lack of sense lol. They don't and won't die even with my black thumb. I only plant in fabric pots so it'll be interesting to see how big the Meant To Bee grow. Thank you again for the valuable info and your natural fun self.

@Betsy VanWeerdhuizen, Laura sure makes it look easy, doesn't she? I would love to run drip in several places of my backyard. I am intimidated to attempt it, though, at 61 years young.🥴 Especially, since I live in the Arizona desert, which has a lot of kaliche in the ground. I guess we both just need to take the leap of faith...

I had a chuckle when you mentioned "deer resistance"....we've had a mystery in our long established urban neighbourhood and the missing tulip blooms over the past 2 weeks. They appeared to be snipped off so humans were, at first, suspected....however, yesterday I discovered deer tracks in the back alley and in the planting area along the sidewalk of our next-door neighbour's yard. No one seems to have seen the deer doing the dirty deed, but the evidence is there. Must be making middle of the night raids for the tasty blossoms. They never take them all, just enough to be noticed. Deer resistant plantings are of renewed interest to us all.

Thank you for the information on the drip irrigation, and reassuring that it’s fine if you go off the grid a little bit. I really value your experience and advice for my garden.
