I was surprised how much I enjoyed this longer form video! I listen to a lot of Rogan on Spotify and enjoy those 2.5+ hour podcasts... I think both of you really captivated the audience and the conversation was very entertaining as I was working here on Friday after Thanksgiving (USA)... Thank you for this!! Cheers!

You two are Australia's Statler and Waldorf, and should seriously consider making these pods a regular thing. Great stuff.

1:06:25 Driving in Germany … You’re spot on. I live in chaotic Guatemala and I love driving on the German autobahn with its educated drivers.

50:54 Digital calipers … YES - I hate them too!! Their digits on the screen makes us believe they are more exact, more precise, than the analog version. They aren’t. My last two calipers (both are favorites) are the ones with a 2/100 mm clock on them.

Hi Andrew I am happy that you guys brought up the subject of driving cultures. I think this is a subject which needs to be discussed more. I would really like to hear more of your opinions on this. You both travelled the world and also have a far better understanding than the average person. My 2 cents: Coming from Europe, I did a 3 week trip from Sydney to Adelaide and everything inbetween a few years ago. I was amazed by the ammount of people using their phones while driving, it possibly also has to do something with the ammount of automatic cars on the market, freeing up one of their hands. I observed a lack of interest for the surroundings, most drivers not checking their mirrors, and not paying attention to small clues for what other drivers are intending to do. Basically, drivers not reading the traffic, always on the hurry in the big cities, but never actually properly hurrying, were some of the things which gave me a feeling that I have to look out a lot more for others, because they aren't looking out for me. Love your show!

It is nice to see you two folks not angry, but relaxed in low energy conversation - So often (I guess for dramatic purposes) I see presenters putting undue energy into presentations to make it like they have important news to bring. I think here of the weather presenters during cyclone or flood time going out of their way to present an exciting report by standing in the middle of the street saying how dangerous the cyclone in as the wind gusts on the plam trees and the rain (or maybe garden hose wets them as they energeticallly report on the terrors of the event.

As someone who suffers from vibration induced neuropathy, you absolutely should wear gloves when using an angle grinder. As a welder rather than a grinder/polisher I thought I didn't have to worry too much. Turns out I was wrong. If you've ever experienced a tingling sensation in the hands after using a grinder or other power tool, that's the nerves being damaged. Seriously, look it up dooood. They have to be tight(ish) leather gloves, preferably with padding to reduce the vibration induction into your hands. These types of gloves just get abraded if they contact the grinding/cutting disk, in which case they just saved you from a messy injury as well, but those ultra thin cutting disks (1mm or less) won't even notice the leather glove and neither will you. Don't use chopping blades on an angle grinder. Ever. Those are meant for bench mounted tools, in which case feel free to use them without gloves.

Opinion on bad drivers in Oz: As a starting point all states and territories should stop giving people the option of an automatic license, (there are many other issues with the licence requirements which I will not delve into) this concept is absurd because it defies competency. As discussed, in Europe the fast lane is exactly that whereas here in OZ most people have no concept of the logic for having an overtaking lane. John's point of having a focus on the rear vision mirror is completely lost on most Australian drivers. Thank you for sharing your thoughts gents, cheers.

some of use with disabilities would legit find this crippling. we can drive but asking us to learn manual and driving at the same time is absurd. automatics save noone from lack of care driving.

@@webmonkey44 I should have made it clear that there should be exceptions for those who have a physical handicap which is different to those who are physicaly able but unwilling to learn or uncoordinated. In the latter cases, public transport or walking is should be the only option.

The title should be Two Legends Talking Sense I think . Your shit is our treasure so to speak. John is correct about the level of shit slowly increasing in our country, to me it's the slow growth of US influence . Trumpism if that's a thing lol. Hey Andrew, no hating on NSW mate, it's cruel because it has more than a touch of truth.
