In my honest opinion as a customer yall need a comic book & Manga format to choose from where we just upload the images. This would truly help publishing comic books & manga. I understand that your not gonna have visual editing but its a shame we can't just upload our comic book pages to make our books. But this is far better than before where it was no we can't

Great suggestion! Atticus is always growing and adapting for authors, so you never know what our programmers will be able to achieve in the future!

@@AtticusWriter I hope so there are 100,000s of comic book creators that can't access book printers as well as this program would allow

I watched the previous video on how to size my images, as well as this tutorial. I used Canva and I did the exact specification you put for a 6x9 book. I literally watched and did it with the video. However, when I upload the images, there is white stripe at the bottom of the picture in the 'print book preview'. What have I done wrong??

Is there a way to insert full page images mid chapter or do they alway have to function as their own independent chapters/chapter intros?
@AtticusWriterАй бұрын
Full page images with bleed will need to be between chapters. You can insert a full page image that extends only to the margins within a chapter though. When you insert the image, if you edit it using the gear icon, you can set it to Separate Page. Just be sure to size it before importing. I hope that helps!

The recent improvements to Atticus look great! The formatting is a breeze! There's one thing that stops me from writing in Atticus rather than importing from Scrivener. Are there any plans to add an autocorrect feature? It really makes a difference, especially when we can add corrections to the autocorrect dictionary. It seems like a small detail, but being able to continue typing without having to correct typos makes a huge difference. Typing without it slows me down tremendously. It's honestly the only thing I miss, and it takes me back to Scrivener. Please consider adding this feature!

We don't have any immediate plans for that, but you can use Grammarly and/or ProWritingAid with Atticus, if that might help!

At 4:29, when I added an image in the first chapter, it appeared underneath the heading, not on the entire page. Also, the "upload image" under formatting and "chapter heading" doesn't have an upload button.
@AtticusWriter2 ай бұрын
If you want the chapter heading image accross the page, you'll need to select Background Image, rather than Image Element. If the button isn't showing, try doing a little refresh (CTRL or CMD R) and that should help!

I'm able to do the two page spread perfectly at the begining of the book. However, I am unable to do two page spreads throughout the book. I'm putting left page and right page. Should I do something else? Or does this only work for the first part of the book and the rest of the two page spreads have to be connected to chapters?
@AtticusWriter8 ай бұрын
You can use them anywhere, as long as you set to begin on > left side and > right side appropriately. If you're having trouble, write into our support email and we'll be able to help you out!

How can I do it in canva
@AtticusWriter3 ай бұрын
You would need to start with a custom size document set to the trim + bleed of your book, and add your pictures there. Make sure the two images meet as close to perfect in the center for the best alignment. You would then export both pages to jpg or png and import them to Atticus following this tutorial. I hope that helps!
