Could this be the mission where the old strider 1 dies? After Mihaly shoots down Champ he kills a recon aircraft and later in DLC mission 2 Huxian mentions to count about the old strider 1 being cocky. Most likely he thought he could beat him and then got destroyed.

I always figured that the former Strider 1 was shot down right before this mission since they only had 7 planes returning instead of their normal 8. My theory is that he got shot down during the LRSSG's recon mission around stonehedge.

Sort of always assumed that the last strider 1 died in the leadup to mission 11. Where he was sent to detect the blindspots and ended up being killed probably because he got too used to fighting drones and thought that he could just cut through them

I love how in every song where you battle with Mihaly, there is not only a feeling of terror and latent power, but also an undertone of admiration, respect, and interconnection. As if to say that there is a kindred connection between Trigger and Mihaly. One of intense rivalry and competition, but also of joy to find one's equal in combat, when two kindred spirits meet in a theater of opposition. It is especially present here, where the two first meet. The game is good.

Not only that, but for me, the thing I hear above all else is just... pain. A mix of grief and anger that overrides all common sense and any remaining self preservation Trigger may have had after over a month of it being drilled in his head that it was all his fault Harling was dead. And when Mihaly finally shows his face, in the middle of a thunderstorm and in treacherous terrain? When Trigger was already work down from fending off a swarm of drones? He charged. He charged straight towards the angel of death. If Mihaly had a fighting style that was cold, calculating, almost mechanical, then Trigger was the exact opposite: a mad gunman with no concern for how many shots it took before he hit someone. If he eventually hit them, that was good enough. Rather than patiently lurk at the edges, picking foes off one by one, trigger just barreled towards them, with an aggression beyond human understanding. Even in strider, he never got ride of those sin lines... “well, you are Harling’s murderer after all”. Trigger hasn’t been through hell, he lives there. Being shot down is just going home early.

What i got from this music is the fact that trigger is a wolf in a dog clothing, the fact that all 444 try to run a way when another wolf showed up trigger who are an actual ex-airforce pilot are the only one who can go turns to turns with an equal apex predator.

I love the fact that Mihaly was the one who trained Yellow 13 plus the huge amount of similitudes amount the two, both flies in formation of 5 aircrafts, Mihaly is using a Su-30 SM which is like a Su-37, but with double seats, and both where feared by their enemies and both... are not tecnically "Villains" Mihaly did everything in order to fly once again and find someone worthly that could fight him while he is still alive, and Yellow 13 was a very skilled pilot that wanted to fight againts Mobius 1 in order to test his skills, none of them didn't care much what their nations did, neither the military campaing, they just lived in order to fly in the sky. I really wish that PA make a remake of AC 4, seeing how badass is Mihaly, i want to see how good is his pupil with the enemy AI of now.

@@Messerschmitt_BF_109G_10 Yeah, if they were to do a remake all I'd want is a graphics update. AC04 is the only Ace Combat game I've played where how much speed you're carrying actually matters. In every game after it, you can accelerate extremely quickly, even in a straight climb, but in 4 you really have to work to keep your speed up in a furball. Also the roll rates on all of the planes are much higher, and it makes them feel much more responsive as a result.

God, when 2:18 hits, I just... it takes me away, every single time. All of a sudden I'm back in that canyon, fighting between the thunderclouds and the peaks, fighting the terrain as much as a pilot well beyond my calibre. AC7 was my first AC game, first playthrough on hard, and this mission right here is what sold me on it single-handedly. Not Daredevil, not Hush, not even the final battle against Archange (although it came close). It was this mission which told me "You're in for a good time".

The first time I played this mission and heard this comment, I was in a F-14, it was my first Ace battle in an Ace Combat game and my state of mind was basically "I have no goddamn idea what I am doing, please send help" which somehow made this qutote even more badass.

The Three Strikes is also made up of squadrons from 3 nations. Strider and Salamander (Osea) Rigel and Skoll (Erusia) Sol (Voslage) ^(Funnily enough, the "sol"e squadron from Voslage) "The Three Strikes" is alot more literal than you think.

The Su-33 was excellent on this boss fight...(I grinded enough MP to get both the F/A-18F and the Su-33) The Hornet was easier to land hits with and more stable, but the Sukhoi was plain fun to fly..(more agile and could pull PSMs, which I inadvertently did twice)

This dogfight on normal is not too bad. But when you fight this man on ace... there are few things that I can use to truly describe it. It's a fight worth remembering. And it's one hell of a warmup for the Sol Squadron/Archange fights...those are ridiculous on Ace.

How should I say this: When I'm playing ac5, fighting the Belkan aces. I find their dialogue annoying. "We will restore the pride that was taken 15 year ago" Me: You are kind of making it hard for me to enjoy the fight. "We will come back to haunt you forever. AHHHHHHH!!!!" 🤦🏽‍♂️STFU I find Mihaly humble, his character seems to enjoy the fight as much I am and he doesn't make it about honor or restoration or some BS, plus he clearly cares about his sqaud.

Too add to the conversation of why some don't hate Mihaly for shooting down Bronie, Champ, or even Wiseman: It's war. He was a combat pilot doing his job. It may come off cold, harsh, and even heartless but it's nothing personal. Blame the politicians for starting the wars (though in this case, blame the Belkans who never got over it...sore losers).

@Rasmus Johansson to be honest though, I believe Nemo's AI is based off of Pixy and Cipher. After the battle between the two, Grunder Industries collected the flight data obtained from the ADFX-02 which they used for their ZOE project. It explains why Nemo is incredible for an AI.
