I don’t think you’ll see too much of a difference in temps for the front rotors since they are both vented. The big difference for the rear was the result of going from a solid rotor to a vented rotor. But you’ll find out soon enough

Agreed. Not that big of a difference on the front. I got on average about 2x track days more our of my pads with the 2pc fronts. Rears though, have been on the car for like 3 years now and still going 😅 That is where I think he will see the biggest improvement

@@DIYGuysvideo thanks for your feedback. I might have to take this video down after my eventual track day test 😂

They don’t transfer as much heat to the knuckle, wheel bearings, grease, axle shafts boots and grease, etc. thus helping to prevent premature failure of those parts.

Glad your s2000 is back up and running! Excited to see what you do next. The ASM front and rear bumpers are looking great. Now you definitely need the ASM hood

@@Endlessways13 thank you and expect a new hood pretty soon lol. I have a problem 🤣

Do you plan on doing something like the URGE designs rear rotors or just the oem ones?
@zaahidrahman5 ай бұрын
@@aryitzu yes! will be upgrading to the urge rear rotors after the next few track days. One thing i forgot to mention in the video is how your track pads can last so much longer with two piece rotors. Those consumables add up big time
@jakuracing5 ай бұрын
What’s your scientific logic that one piece rotor will see brake fade sooner? The more weight the rotor is, the less temperature it will be from same amount of heat.
@RobHTech8 күн бұрын
I agree. His statement about brake fade is completely inaccurate and has nothing to do with being a two-piece rotor or not. You probably will get brake fade faster/sooner in a 2-piece because there’s less mass to absorb the heat.
