I built a two-player trading system that's very simple and secure--as long as your server has protections that will disallow people from breaking things.

I think there was an update on the water physics since this video. The water does not change direction when the piston underneath is deactiavated to allow the items to flow to the opposite player.

even simpler -- just have a plate both players can step on that locks them both inside the same room. until they agree the trade is fair and complete, the door doesn't open until both step off the plate. If you have protections to keep a block from being broken, you have the same protections to prevent pvp

You should add a locking system so when the player drops items he flicks the lever to leave the item in there so he can't take it back and scam. Cause the player accepts,then the player on the other side quickly takes the items and accepts. Then he stole the items. Thats why I think u should add a lock system or an confirm system so no one loses or scams items.

But the only way to grab the items back is to cancel the trade, therefor being unable to scam. Or to break the glass, which the other player would see or hear, then cancel the trade themselves. This system is literally fool-proof.
