48:43 *Jane:* "Embalming is like when they stick a hook down your nose and whisk your brains up and put your liver and kidneys in canopic jars." *Merriam-Webster:* "embalm: to fill with sweet odors; to protect from decay or oblivion" I'm not sure whether to be relieved that Jane isn't running a mortuary, or scared that she is running a hospital.
@neolexiousneolexian60794 жыл бұрын
@@DavidCruickshank Yeah, I know. I had to look it up because I thought "embalming" might actually include the organ removal step. But even though they usually occur pretty close together, I'm pretty sure "embalming" only refers to the primarily chemical process of making the body inhospitable to detrivores, and not the very physical process of scooping out the brain and liver. It's not a huge distinction in most colloquial use, but it's a pretty significant difference if you're the one that's being embalmed alive.

Well if Wikipedia is to be believed, Jane is several hundred years old -- I can't really blame her for having an outdated understanding of how some of this stuff works
I used to drink a lot of Diet Coke, but then my mother went into hospital at one point, and I really overdid the caffeine, leading to me getting heart palpitations and night terrors. So that’s awesome. Caffeine is apparently really bad for people with anxiety, too, so that’s doubly awesome for me. I stopped consuming caffeine altogether after that.

Pro-tip: put a psychologist office next to your GP offices and have that dedicated to only doing diagnosis. Having one psychiatrist only doing diagnosis will massively help your hospital's overall diagnosis efficiency.

Jane you want to research Fluid Analysis. It's a diagnostic room that has more diagnosis power than basically all the others combined
@samtaholo4 жыл бұрын
I saw X-Ray on the list of diagnostic rooms she hasn't researched yet, too. Unlocking that would then allow Jane to research the M.E.G.A. Scan (I think). Different diagnostic rooms are better (or worse) at diagnosing different illnesses, so it's good to have at least one of each.
@973daydreamer4 жыл бұрын
@@samtaholo yes and the megascan is also amazing. Fluid analysis plus megascan can diagnose most things. X-ray is good too

Yeah, I love the animation (and sound effect) of the X-ray patients being scanned, and the M.E.G.A. Scan looks really cool - like an MRI but not as scary. The patients' animation for Fluid Analysis is a lot of fun, too. :)

I used to only be able to drink sparkly water but now I actually really enjoy plain water (the switch over wasn’t my choice my stomach had issues and couldn’t handle the sparkle anymore) my biggest tips are 1. Don’t drink plain water on an empty stomach when ever you can avoid it it can make your stomach feel wierd and just make the whole thing less enjoyable can even be painful for some people 2. If you are thirsty drink plain water if you wanna drink for the sake of tasting something drink something else if you force yourself to drink plain water in that situation it’ll just make you unhappy 3. Get a big water bottle that brings you joy (for example there are bottles that will have cute and encouraging messages depending on where the water level is so how much you’ve drank already) and that is easily refillable (1-2 Liters) 4. Figure out what material you like to drink plain water out of the most for some people water from plastic bottles will taste great but from metal bottles it will taste really bad to them so possibly that might help so do you prefer: plastic, glass, or metal 4. Depending on where you life the tap water might not be nice so if you live in an area where that is a problem find a brand of plain water that you like or get a water filter 5. Like many people mentioned the more you drink it the more you get used to it and eventually really learn to like it 6. You can do little things that help you remember to drink water my dad for example had a little card on his desk that had a drawing of a glass filled with water on it and everytime he looked at it he had to take a sip of water but often just having a water source in your close proximity all time will get you to drink more anyway You got this everyone!
