The game is basically SimHospital (as someone coming from the SimCity/SimAnt/SimCopter age of games)...would you build your Sims home without pausing? That's been the biggest problem I've had with early Two Point...you've got to let it run a bit to unlock things (for example, I spent approximately 15 minutes paused in the tutorial hospital waiting for the GP office to appear...luckily, I had done a bunch of hiring, so there was a surplus of staff to immediately station where needed), which, if you need something specific to pop quickly, is extremely stressful.

Not sure if my 2 Point 2 cents are s that good or helpful, but I: 1) Put a bin and a hand sanitizer next to the door of every room (inside). May be overkill, but I've never had hygiene or litter issues. 2) put extra changing screens/plaster casters in the respective wards to reduce queuing. Also, if I put more than four beds, I add an extra nurse 3) Use the reception room instead of the reception desk with at least two stations to start (and space for more). Again, keeps the queue down. Also transparent Jane fits the hospital theme.

Try hanging a thin white sheet of cloth about 6 inches in front of your light to act as a diffusion. It's a cheap trick I picked up in theatre school, but it does cancel glare pretty well. I assume you already have a close diffuse, but one further away helps.

One way to cut down on waiting times at the GP's is to go into policies and click the fast track treatment option. It stops patients getting sent back to the GP to be told what their illness is and just sends them straight to the treatment rooms. Not sure how it affects mortality rates though... I always keep the diagnosis level at 90% certainty

I highly recommend to Jane that she unlock the Brain Chair; put one in every room, put them in staff rooms in place of couches, and idle staff who sit them in get a very nice boost. She's got more than enough Kudosh to unlock them!

This goes hand in hand with her reassigning staff to other duties (notably training-related things) without replacing them. I have a feeling that all the Ward Management buffs in the world won't help if that nurse is out of energy and, while a non-trained nurse isn't as good as a trained one, they'll have less of a problem treating a patient than the narcoleptic nurse. This is why I've got a love for the Green Thumb trait...not only does it reduce a staff member's downtime, it'll also take the edge off the janitors (since they're not going to be watering plants as often, this frees them up for other duties).

I'm having to go into quarantine (I went on a college trip and there are people who are showing symptoms) and I'm so god damn lonely. I've been crying on and off from loneliness all day (I've always lived in a small house with at least 2 other people always around. It's been 4 days and I hate it so much) and now I've just heard that I won't be able to see my family for 12 weeks. (Mum and brother need to self isolate due to health issues. 2 other brothers will be with their dad. My dad lives 5 hours away) and I really need a hug. But this is so distracting in a peaceful way and its making me feel slightly better. Thank you x

Two points, for those who prefer Frankenstein's monster over the Frankenstein monster. One, in the novel the creature is a sentient being who refers to Victor as his father, thus, from his own pov, he is a Frankenstein not a possession. Two, using Jane as an example, it is not wrong to say things like the Douglas household (an actual possessive) or that Douglas girl (more accurate an analogy). Again the creature is a "living", sentient (more to the point self aware) being, so the Frankenstein monster is more appropriate a reference than what one would use for an object.

To reduce lines at General Diagnosis, you can change your hospital policy to fast-track treatment. I found that helped a lot (that and reducing diagnosis percentage needed before treatment).
