you can unscrew and detach the handle battery mount, and hook the clamp in the middle of the ring grip. then use v-mount plate

When you consider that the Easyrig Vario, which the Flycam is based on, costs more than $5000USD, there are simple solutions to make the Flycam work nearly the same. The $4000 plus that I saved not buying the Easyrig was spent a new camera...They Sony FX3 (and I still have nearly $500 left over).

Yes, there is a turn dial on the back with a lever on the side, if you release the lever it should let go all the tension and then you can readjust according to the weight of your set, it's a lot easier to do this with 2 people though I have done it by myself

I hated this set up until i figure to put the rig on a table or floor and push to on the spring then lock the turning know

Thanks for the review. My understanding of this and the EasyRig is primarily for use to hold the camera when standing to take strain off the arms. Due to it's design, walking movement will be mostly transferred to the camera. So, I would buy it for helping my arms, not so much for stabilization. Regarding the loose fit, they should have allowed the range of adjustment to accommodate that. Maybe there is a way to modify, or replace, the existing straps for a tighter fit? I also wonder if adding the towel bulk just behind the shoulders would keep the rig from tipping forward. Anyway, thanks for the review. Pity that most knock off products seem to only get 80-90% of the design right.

There you go, yes, I don't think that the goal of the product is really stabilization but I pointed it out to show that at least it does not obstruct the gimbal from achieving that from excessive bouncing up and down. I think that if you are handy with modification you can fairly easy fix the issue mentioned but I am definitely not good at it, and didn't want to tamper the product if I decided to just send it back, I agree with you a 100% on your last statement, knock off products seem to always miss the mark by a very short bit, which is a shame for a lot of us but can work for other videographers.

My Same setup, same ring grip and same Flowline Master, used just once, I realized you need to lift it when you walking, like take the weight off the support system, it reduces the up and down movements

I will try it out, although, Flowline has mentioned there is a revision on this product that gets rid of these issues mentioned, they were kind enough to send one for test, still waiting but hopefully I can update the review soon.

I think for the price it's a great value but you are 100% correct about its shortcomings. I have the same kit but with the placid arm and 2axis equalizer and it's SUPER smooth. BUT it gets painful after a full day shoot. I've integrated a QR system that proaim also sells that hooks into the 2 axis Equalizer (might be a solution for you) I also bought a back brace that I wear under the Vest to help with extra support but I think I'll also try your towl idea too!! Was also considering a bigger belt to wrap around the back of the Vest to see if that would keep it tight to the lower back. 🤔 great honest video sir!

Great ideas, i think that if you are handy at making adjustments to your gear you can definitely make it work for a really good price, unfortunately had to send mine back, couldn't really deal with those issues, plus I don't usually need to shoot for very extended periods of time with no breaks, but I'm looking into a different vest before I can get that mini max and see if it fits my needs better.

You could, but personally didn't like the off balance feeling since the attachment will need to be off center.

⁠correct about moving battery handle. There are connection nodes on several points around the ring. I have the same ring setup. I plan on either moving the grip to another spot or not using it at all, because i also have the v mount plate on my ring and it powers everything. I will not be connecting the flycam to the handle, it will be connected center ring. If he isn't aware of such options, or fail to mention them... he shouldn't do a video about the flycam
