It is the flowline starter. Invest a couple bucks more for the flowline master with plaid arm and you have an even better version of that

Nice they updated it. Regarding the hook. Have you tried simply hooking it straigt to the rod, right next to the top grip? Ive seen people do this, might throw the ring grip a tiny bit off center, but seems to be fine.

Yes i have and it actually does work, it is definitely a bit off center which was slightly uncomfortable, i personally didnt think it was a big deal but was trying to make it all line up perfectly for this example.

Easyrig is definitely better but for less then half the price, this one is perfect, I would say if you planning to use it a lot for long term, definitely the easyrig but if you occasionally need that extra support this is obviously a way better choice.

As you are asking because of budget : I rented the minimax a lot and got tired paying the rental fee for it, as I always use it for a short time only and did not get extra budget for rentals paid most of the times. My arms asked for it though :) . The minimax has more comfort in the vest. If you wear it for 1-4 hours : flowline (go for master with placid arm instead of the starter that is shown in this video) is the better choice because of the placid arm) If you you are in for 3-6 hours shots .. easyrig because of the more comfy vest. Now I have 10 shoots in one month and the rental cost of a mini mac would have been over the master flow line including the placid arm. I padded the hip section and now it is on par with the minimax. Plus it can hold heavier loads than the mini max

Could someone tell me if to save I need to release the configuration or can I save it as I configured it? I wonder if there is no problem keeping the cord tensioned?

Not too sure if I understood your question, but you adjust the tension to the point where the system can hold it in a steady position while still being able to pull it up or down depending on what you are shooting, a bad adjustment would be you having to pull too hard, the it's too tight, or the camera dropping, then it's too loose, hope that helps

Nice work J :) Question... I guess the only thing I worry about is sticking out like a sore thumb at weddings. I'm also curious if you feel like its hard to sit down?

You definitely stick out not going to lie lol people will stare a you, although they get used to it, its uncomfortable to sit down with it if you need to shoot sitting down, to rest you can just remove the hook and release the weight.
