It was not anything about them bashing against each other but at that time, particularly, the hate projected towards them from outside was so intense and also they had a very intensely packed schedule with hardly any rest. This all led them to had the discussion of breaking up but they themselves surprised by how passionate their love towards eachother and to the music and to the army which eventually made them stay together.

No, the thoughts of disbandment had nothing to do with one member wanting more than another, etc. It had to do with the meteoric rise in their fame in 2018. It was an extremely hard year for them and they were burnt out. They’ve been open about it.

These guys have always been immense workaholics. It was never about an argument or disagreement. They were always extremely close, but they were working 24/7 and under immense pressure none of us can understand. They give all of themselves to Army. I personally think what made them all decide to keep going is that helping others learn to love themselves has become a calling they have all seven individually answered. I also think they have reached a point where they can say they need to rest, when and if they need it. These guys would literally work themselves to the point of physical exhaustion. As you continue your journey and understanding of BTS, these incidents will be revealed to you. There has never been any artists or groups give anywhere near as much of themselves to their fans as BTS. It is part of what makes the bond between BTS and Army so strong. Yes the song lyrics are based around when they were talking about breaking up Suga/Agust d has talked about this. It was when they were going through a hard time during their Idol and Fake love era as they had to work super hard and hardly had any days off and it was just overwhelming and too much physically and mentally for them. its not about them fighting or not getting along more so the work pressure as they reached so much fame and kept pushing to reach even higher achievments. In the latest Suchwita episode (Sugas talk show) Suga and Jin also talk about their well known crying speech where most of the members are seen vulnerable and emotional when they received their award because of the disbandment discussions. Anyway Im sure there is ALOT more to the story as always with this group, and maybe I dont have all the facts exact but thats my take on what I have read and watched. So happy that they stayed together :)

They fought a lot at the begging but by 2018 they loved themselves a lot and saw themselves more than family. And the song Tear was written by Suga. So now they want to continue until they grow old. None of them wanted to separate. They wanted to stick together, and they did. For now they are doing their solo albums and in 2025 they will come back together again.

I think a good reference point is RM's song Wildflower wherein he said when he started he dreamed of a beautiful fall. This is because becoming an Idol meant the probability of if he made it his rise would only go so far and then any of a variety of circumstances such as growing older, wanting to date and maybe start a family, going to the military and more would tend to make him gracefully step back out of the intense spotlight. Life would move on. What happened is he became a rocketing international star which created all sorts of new pressures. Idol groups mostly were Korean and Asian region phenomena so RM and BTS were experiencing success and pressures way beyond their original hopes and dreams. I think there were many BTS members struggling with their emotions tied to the constant and unexpected requirements of being increasingly global stars at a time when typically they would be able to feel contentment in their achievement level as an Idol group. Not only large international tours but constant high quality production and staging took its toll. BTS needed to figure out an uncharted path forward or basically say we accomplished more than anyone before and give disband. So this was not members not getting along but having to make a tough decision together.

They were not breaking up because of other dreams and wanting different things. Jin was referring to a time where they were so worn out. During the period when they were promoting ‘Fake Love,’ they were working long hours and had only a day and a half off each month. They knew they needed to work hard but were exhausted. No they were not perfect but they had a strong relationship. They learned how to deal with conflict. They work it as a group and as well as the individuals involved to resolve the issue. Please do not try to compare them to the western boy bands. They are different. Thank you for your review

😊 No member would leave another behind. And they are very connected to each other. Don’t let this one song and the small amount of info you heard regarding, sway you into thinking there was widespread bad feelings or constant fighting behind the scenes, that’s not how they roll. Also, BTS is a 7 member group, and within that are subgroups - the rappers are the rap line, the singers are the vocal line, the main dancers are the dance line. There may be more but that’s the 3 main lines I can think of right now. In BTS works you’ll have songs with all 7, songs with just the rappers, songs with just the singers, songs with a singer and a rapper, and solos. I think that variety is a good thing.

In Break The Silence episode, Suga said he wrote 'Outro: Tear' from 'Love Yourself: Tear' album, that released in 2018 while thinking about the members. The track, that is performed by rappers RM, Suga, and J-Hope, truly resonated with the fans. "The lyrics for 'Tear' were written for the members. At the time, we were deeply contemplating whether we should quit or not. When I played the song for the members, we all cried together."

They were scared & tired of how big they became.. a band from a small country in Asia, they did not expect they would reach what they did. There is a song by Suga called Interlude:Shadow that shows how he was scared about the heights. I'ts only 3 because this is the rapline, they have diff. mixtures of sub_units, they mix 1 or 2 rappers with 1 or 2 vocalists, sometimes just duos. But the song as BTS always says is also up to the interpetation of the listeners, it can apply to ur life that way you want them.

They were just exhausted what was happening. They were always brothers but you have to remember, they were still boys and they had some major decisions coming up, that they needed to figure out. Also: This is one of my favorite BTS songs because like you said, it can also be a song above 2 people in a relationship breaking up. It's a pull your heart out of your chest and stomp on it break up song. Yea they had it really rough at the beginning

In early 2018, they were exhausted. In a recent episode of Suchwita where Suga "interviewed" Jin 4 days before he enlisted in their military, they talked about that time being really hard on them with only 1 day off a month for 3 months straight. Also, they really didn't have an extended (several months) break until I think late 2019 since their debut in June 2013. The rap line that you just witnessed had been with Big Hit since 2010-2011. They were getting so big in the 2017 and 2018 timeframe, and the company told them they had to work that hard at that point, but they were mentally and physically exhausted. They acknowledged now that it Was necessary in order to be successful, but it was so hard on them. That said, I'm sure they had arguments and such and maybe some things were said that shouldn't have been, but it all worked out in the end and they stuck together. Honestly, we'll likely never know exactly what happened, unless it is in their book that's being released July 9th (available for preorder now on Amazon and other places). I don't think ARMY knew anything about possible disbandment until their MAMA Award Speech at the end of 2018 when Jin mentioned it with tears during his part of their acceptance speech (which started out with J-Hope crying - our sunshine crying was so hard to see too). They all ended up in tears. It was hard to watch. Personally, I think it was Jungkook who might have wanted to leave but they talked him out of it. He mentioned in the Busan concert last October that there was a time he didn't want to continue but his members convinced him to stay. He's their Main Vocalist and since the age of 15 was singing the vocal guides that the other vocalists learned their parts from. He even did the vocal guides for some of the others' solo songs (like Suga mentioned that Jungkook did the guide for his solo song People Pt 2 on his new D-Day album). He's also center in a lot of the group dance routines and does a lot of the ad libs and background vocals for both the vocalists and the rappers.

I think they were ALL struggling and thinking of quitting. Jimin said in a vlog that at one point he wondered whether this was the only job that he could do. He also said he saw how others were struggling. Suga said in You Quiz on the Block that the one month off they got re-sparked his desire to perform, implying that he was burned out before the vacation. RM menioned how scary it was, flying so high that they couldn't even see the ground.

BTS usually divides the songs sometimes, the rapline (SUGA, JHOPE and RM) has its own songs, and the vocal line (JUNGKOOK, JIMIN, V and JIN) has its own songs, they are also sometimes combined for example there is a song only by RM and SUGA, there can be a song with two rappers and two singers, a song with two singers and one rapper, and there are also individual songs within the albums, they have always done that so that the members can stand out individually and everyone can stand out equally. Currently they are all in their solo careers due to the issue of military service and continue to support everyone's solo works, they visit each other in rehearsals and recordings, the issue of separation at that time was not due to fights, or competition over who It's better, it was because at that moment they had a lot of pressure on them.

6:39 Suga is very intense in his delivery, and placed his feelings at the time into lyrics. He then went to all the other members with it. They all got emotional about it. The other main rappers, Jhope and RM added their lyrics and the song was produced. 2018 was actually when they were peaking and breaking records in their careers. But as Jhope said they still thought they were a small group (as in fame). However, they swept all the awards for that year. Good thing they had a talk, settled their emotions and decided to stay together. This is based on what members had said over the years and at a past Festa.

This song is on an album called Love Yourself: Tear. It is the 2nd album in a trilogy. First one is Love Yourself: Her, which is about falling in love and the euphoria of love. Tear is about relationship problems and the frustrations of love and breakups. RM's verse at the beginning sounds more like a couple breakup and the last two verses, Suga's and J-Hope's, seem very much about the group break-up discussions. This is very typical BTS style with multiple meanings. The 3rd album in the trilogy is Love Yourself: Answer and a very powerful song in it is Epiphany, where Jin sings a solo saying "I'm the one I should love". I recommend it.

The song was written in early 2018, their biggest year internationally. JIN recently talked about that time period in his Suchwita ep, the show which suga hosts. He said that for about 3 months they literally had not even a day off.. they would get half a day off from work. For 3 months they worked nonstop. It's enough to drive anyone mad. So the members were all exhausted and tired. They went out for drinks, sat together and talked about quitting everything. And they realised that its too painful to quit also as indicated by the song. So they decided to pull together and push through 2018. In the dec Mama award show 2018, Jin finally spoke about what happened earlier that year and the members all broke down in tears on stage. But it was only in 2020 they revealed that the song was about that incident. Armys kept thinking that the song was a regular old breakup song for about 2 years... but the thing is we didn't see the members be in relationships, so it was interesting how angry they sounded in the song and performances. It sounded personal. It finally made sense when suga revealed in their documentary about how the song was written for the members of BTS.

Thank you for reaction to this! I'm just glad that someone gave you a heads up about what the song is about, as it makes the song hit different. I know there's a lot of behind the scenes stuff that Army doesn't know so the only thing we can say for sure is their complete exhaustion everyone in the comments is speaking about because they recently spoke about it. Other than that, we don't know if certain members wanted to walk away and others didn't. I think they all do their best to encourage each other and lift each other up. We even see it now when they comment on each others posts and weverse lives. Jimin came to JHope's Lollapalooza concert and to Suga's concert in the U.S. recently. And both Suga and JHope came to Jimin's live performance on a popular Korean music show when Jimin was promoting his recent album, Face.

BTS great strength to write personal feelings in a way that anyone can relate. No one on the outside can know what or all that went on during the time they considered splitting up, but I think it was the stress and pressure of the constant work, not enough downtime, perhaps the harsh glare of the spotlight on them, I don’t know. But thinking about who they are, I don’t think it was about anyone wanting to do their own thing. They have always respected each other, and though can disagree with each other, they would not be purposely disrespectful or mean spirited and hurt each other. Some of your assumptions were incorrect, but that is understandable since you don’t know much about their personalities and how they interact with each other. If you guys get into content that shows more about them as people, you’ll understand. Suga wrote that song for them, to express how he felt about things. It’s one of my favorite songs, and my hearts aches every time I hear it, thinking about them, but they got through it all. Thank you for continuing your BTS journey.

They have all said they are family many times. They call each other brothers. They grew up together. They lived together for 11 years. They are really inseparable and this song helped them through a rough time. Yoongi, one of these three rappers, wrote the initial melody and verses and shared it with his brothers and they all broke down and cried together. The rappers always write their own verses, so the other two then wrote their corresponding verses. They were the first three members of BTS and are the main songwriters and producers in the group. As others have said, this was burnout and emotional exhaustion, not internal conflicts. Black Swan is about the same thing, but from the aspect of the heartbreak of the thought of losing their love for their art from burnout. They ultimately decided that holding together was their way through. Their rise to global dominance as the literal biggest group in the world was *not* something they planned, desired nor expected and they were overwhelmed. The racism and xenophobia and pushback from the global industry piled on to the hate they already took from an industry that felt threatened by these outsiders (and they are right to fear them!) and from them being rule breakers who were outside the box in many ways. They have taken more hate than probably any other music group. It’s nuts the death threats, constant smears and slanders, organized online hate, lying journalists, manufactured scandals, and on and on, even in the early years when they could not afford lawyers to defend themselves. The intensity of the lyrics in Outro: Tear reflect the intensity of their love for one another and the pain which the thought of being torn apart brings them, not the depth of any conflicts. They are not mean to one another. Your initial impressions of their relationships were correct. There were no secret wars, they don’t say terrible things to each other. And every conflict, no matter how small, is confronted and dealt with as a whole group. They talk about this conflict resolution method being something they started at the very beginning, pre-debut when they were still in school, under the guidance of their mentor and CEO Mr Bang. They talk through their conflicts together and come out stronger. We even have them on film doing it. They don’t fight and say awful things to each other.

In Suchwita episode with Tae/V (Suchwita is a talk show with Suga), they talked abt the situation they had in 2018, where their schedule was so jampacked and they were so tired, Tae had contemplated having injuries so he could rest for a while. They were burning out coz they had no time to rest. It was the time they were breaking out really big in the US so they were "striking while the iron is hot," so to speak. Maybe they had spats, who knows, as they themselves admitted that they have grown sensitive with how tired they were at that time. But it is worth noting tho, they never hated each other. Their love and respect for eo have been proven time and again, and this was the time that tested that. They always choose eo and their love for music. This era is the second time they really had a vacation, but even then, they were still working for solo projs, for group projects and other commitments. But they do have more time for themselves now.

Huh? They never hated each other. This song clearly states how they're gonna be ripped(tear) and will cry (tear) a lot if they are no longer together like actual disbandment. FYI they already have solo careers and are doing well solo while still being in BTS. They did not contemplate disbanding because some wanted to go solo, they are already doing that while still being in BTS. It is the fact the group will be over is what terrifies them. They started from nothing, they've been through hardships together. Hence the lyrics that " we dreamed the same dream but now that dream has finally become a dream my heart is torn I'd rather have you light it ablaze so that not even pain and lingering will be left" It means that they already succeeded their dreams and now they no longer need to do anything and they should break up. But the thought of that tears them up. Imagine splitting up with your family members who was always there for you. Their heart is sl hurt that they'd rather be numb to the pain. Is what the lyrics "Burn it, burn it, burn the fragments of my heart so that not even regret will be left". The regret suga means is clearly not stopping the disbandment. But good thing they didn't really disband. But the lyrics still hurts nonetheless

When thing comes to ‘break up’ it doesn’t only about bashing each other. They’re guys. Yes, they’re. They did fight each other a lot. (Dumplings incident, Banana incident, Raining day incident, Spring day incident and much more) Yes, they did. But one thing you have to know about them they’re really brotherhood. BTS started being The phenomenon band since 2017, they broke numerous world records became first Korean act. They even got BBMA awards and then They debut in USA and get bigger and bigger. They worked their asses off. They wrote own music, shoot variety, performed music shows in Korean TV, world tour, prepared performances for award shows. Until 2018 prepared and practiced their album for comback. They had no time to take a break or breathe. One month they had only one day as a day off. Can you imagine that? They said they agreed that hardworking is the best way to be successful but looked back at that time it's taken toll on their mental and physical well-being. The popularity is increasing day by day. Korean music industry did have phenomenal song like Gangnam style before but it’s really first time to have Phenomenal artist like BTS. Can you imagine artist from that small company became the biggest group in the world and suddenly South Korea got them national highest honor prize and claimed this is artist that they produced and boommm BTS, the representative of South Korea and Asia. They didn’t give up, still hard working till this day but they have more time to rest, to do like others people. This song is quite intense right? They just great at making music. Actually last year during their 9th anniversary.. they were again talking about taking a break (by saying that they have worn out a lil and need some me time) and a few months later, the news of their enlistment arrived. They for some reason.. never said the actual reason for taking a break (yet again). But, that has always been the only reason. Which is why they eventually did not break up and postponed military service when they could. They were so sad (they were crying yet again). None of them wanted to break up.. it was the mandatory military service always.. and they had to come up with different excuses to keep us sane, both times.

Lesser groups would have crumbled over less. 10 yr anniversary just happened and 400,000 people attended the celebrations. 100k flew in internationally and none of the members could be there in person but released various things they prerecorded. RM was there, Jungkook (even though in the US working on his album) and V called in live to him. Suga was on tour but did a weverse live after his show and Jimin did one as well. Everyone else has explained that it was exhaustion, the pressures of the huge rise to fame, and the outside hate that made them consider disbanding. But this is the 3 of them because it’s a RAP line song and there are 3 rappers. It has nothing to do with them wanting to leave. There are also vocal line songs with the 4 vocalists and other unit songs with different combinations of them. Since that time, they’ve grown in so many ways, personally and professionally. As big as they were in 2018, they only got bigger every year since. They’ve also become even closer and they have a greater resolve to stay together forever. They also have their own solo works so that they can each explore their own musical styles as well. That will keep them together forever.

One of the things I love about BTS songs and just music in general, is that everyone comes to it from a different perspective. Yes, they wrote the song with their personal thoughts and feelings and situations in mind, but it can also be interpreted and related to in so many ways depending on the experiences of the person listening to it. So, yes, it is about the time when they almost disbanded, but those feelings of sadness, dispair, and fear are emotions that can apply to many situations. That's one reason why I particularly enjoy watching reactions to songs I love. Initially, I can only look at the lyrics and music from one perspective: my own. But watching someone else listen to it, and discuss what they took from it is special because they have experienced things that I never have, and I find new perspectives to songs that I never would have found on my own. Don't be afraid of interpreting a song "wrong". There is no "wrong" way to do so. Everything else they you learn after your initial reaction is just a new perspective that helps you grow as a listener. At least that's how I see it.

The only part of the story behind this song i want to add is that Jimin once said that it was hard [during that time period] when the ones he had learned to rely on [the other members] were also going through their own problems. They were all so physically and mentally exhausted. In Jhope's verse he said " the moment those words came from your mouth, my focus became irregular" pardon me if i accidentally worded that weirdly. I think this part is essential to understanding the anger and pain in RM's and Suga's verses On a personal level, this song has saved my life and is one of the reasons i am alive, writing this long message.

This way, there's no lingering resentment between the people involved, and they are ALL on the same page about the issue. It is common in K-pop for members to have solo songs and unit songs, within or outside their group albums, while they're still active as a band. The unit can be any combination of the members, but the rap line and the vocal line is the most common units in BTS, as each of these two units have many songs within BTS albums over the years. So they don't need to disband for members to have solo careers.

Probably by now, ur already aware of the Bangtan. This performance is by the 3 Rap line RM, Suga and Jhope. This is a song written when they were contemplating to disband, but Suga said, "because we're a team, we're able to lift up a member if they have troubles, but if we fall into a slump, it could make things hard for all seven members. I think that's one drawback of being part of a team. The lyrics for Outro: Tear were written for the members. When I was writing the melody, at the time, we were deeply contemplating whether we should quit or not. When I played the song for the members, we all cried together," the 27-year-old singer admitted. But, they got even more stronger together and they're more like a family than just a bandmate.

The reason that kept them together was them Brotherhood, basically the extremely hard work, packed schedules (1 day a month off, see parents twice a year...) and the tremendous hate thrown at them was ripping them apart at the beginning of 2018. Woo hoo! There's another version where they are in black if you want to check it out. For 3 months during the Fake Love promotions, Jin in a recent interview on Suchitwa said they had 1.5 days off a month for 3 months straight. And one time Jimin (when talking about the split) mentioned they went from being on stage surrounded by all these people to going back to their hotel rooms alone. I think all that was just a tough adjustment especially since all the members are different. I doubt there was a lot of anger and bitterness between the members despite the lyrics.

The only reason there are 3 of them on this song is because they are the Rap Line and this is their rap song. Just like when the vocal line (4 of them) sing their songs on stage without the rappers. Also, Outro isn't about them fighting. It is about how daunting it was becoming to sustain the level of performance with the exhaustion caused by their heavy schedules and try to get time to branch out into their solo work. RM felt restricted artistically bc he wanted to produce his solo rap music but there was no time to do it. At the 2022 Festa dinner, they all agreed that they should have started their solo paths much sooner than they announced they were going to at that dinner.

soo basically, just to clear up some stuff, they were considering disbanding in 2018 when they rapidly grew to more and more international success. At that point, they were burnt out and had no precedent as to what to do as they were the first korean act to achieve this level of success. As someone else also mentioned, they only had 1.5 days of rest each month between all the dance practices, preparing for shows, creating music for themselves and the team, etc. It wasn't neccesarily them fighting that caused them to consider this but generally that they had different opinions on whether they should keep going. That being said, this song, while it was written in the context of this situation, isn't directly associated with their disbandment thoughts. The members do fight, as any group of friends or family would, but it's never been to the point where they hated eachother. If you watch some videos on them explaining their fights/arguments over the years, they're actually pretty funny. Anyway, that's just a bit more context for u :)

They were considering breaking up mostly due to external pressure. They were working hard, facing a lot of hatred, while also gaining a lot more fame than they ever expected when starting out. This song came from some of those emotions but it's also important to consider they context of this song in the greater arc of the album. This is from the Love Yourself Trilogy of albums. The first album LYS: Her is about falling in love they seems perfect and fated. The second album LYS: Tear is about the falling apart of that relationship when realizing it's not true love if you have to change yourself for the other person. The last album LYS: Answer comes to the realization that in order to truly love others, you must first love yourself. This song Outro: Tear is the last song of the second album, so in the context of the album, it's about the end of a toxic relationship. So the song doesn't word for word apply to when they were considering breaking up, but more like some of the emotions of a painful breakup are captured in the song

Thanks for the reaction. BTS' discography since debut is no joke. Their lyrics are so profound, uplifting, motivating, encouraging, comforting. Rappers often write their own parts. The best part about their lyrics is that they can be interpreted in varied ways and they could be comforting to anyone in any situation, it is not limited to a boy girl relation etc. The varied genres they cover. Such humble dudes even after worldwide fame, no flashing of wealth, cars nothing. BTS had to really struggle to even survive in the industry, weren't served anything on the platter. BTS are Legends for a reason..Love them 💜. You may sometimes plz understand the translation of their songs from DKDTV. They explain it from Korean social culture perspective and then the lyrics makes more sense. Thanks again for the reaction. They talked about wanting to continue until they are grey. It’s just that at that time, they had no rest at all. For years. Watch the recent episode of Suchwita with Suga interviewing Jin and J Hope. They explained it in that video what happened in 2018. BTS truly love and respect each other. Evidence of this is widespread throughout the years. It’s actually probably the biggest reason why they kept on going despite the exhaustion and not being able to do what they wanted to do in their personal time back then. No it was nothing to do with solo careers they've always done solo work. It was the pressure they were all under feeling lost, they were so over tired, all work no rest, a lot of pressure and a lot of hate towards them as well. They were burnt out at the time. No one knew about it until later when they told everyone at an award show that they'd discussed disbanding because of how hard it was for them. Half the members were in tears at the award show when they spoke about it. Thankfully they managed to get through it and this song helped them. They said they all cried together after the song and were able to continue so the song was therapy for them.

I don’t think it was because there were conflicts amongst the members. At that point (beginning of 2018) they were relentlessly promoting their next album (I think Love Yourself: Tear), they were starting to see a lot of success with songs like Fake Love, esp in the US market. In recent interviews they have spoken about that and revealed that back then they were working so hard for months with only 1 1/2 days off per month, that they were mentally and physically exhausted. I think at that point some of the members just felt like giving up. But they came together as a group and pulled through. We know about this because at the end of 2018, at the MAMA music awards, when accepting an award, one of the members (Jin) revealed that they almost broke up. (The video of them receiving award is very touching to watch, quite a few of them were breaking down into tears). So in short, I don’t think them almost disbanding back then was because they were fighting amongst themselves. They had just been working too hard for too long. If anything, their love for each other is what got them through it in the end.

If I can clarify something, Suga said that he had composed the melody of the song during that time and the music is what they cried over.....later on when they put lyrics to the song, the lyrics are in the theme of the album the song is in - Love Yourself: Tear. The love yourself series was 3 albums, the first being Her which talks about new love and the first feeling of it, the decind album Tear is about a toxic relationship or one that doesnt work or the aftermath of fallout and the last album Answer is about self love - gives the listener the message that you have to love yourself first before you can truly love another person. So although the melody was composed when they were thinking of disbandment, the actual lyrics are about the fallout of a relationship (not necessarily a romantic one)....RMs verse describes it as a tear (sadness), Suga's verse describes it as a tear (painful, tearing of your heart) and JHope's speaks about fear. All 3 of these are emotions you would feel during the end of any relationship. This in my mind is truly the genius of BTS's lyricism...it is so variable and widely applicable. Just wanted to make it clear that they weren't referring to themselves in the actual lyrics. 😊

have you reacted to any guides yet especially bts hardships 2013 - 2021 by xceleste? it will give you a glimpse of what they went through. through the years but the years 2015 - 2018 were very hard for them especially 2017 - 2018 because that was when they really transitioned into global stars and heavily promoted in the west and saw themselves sky rocket into even higher fame than they were in 2016. you have to keep in mind that bts are/were indie in the sense that the industry did not help their success at all they werent pushed up they were constantly being pushed down by the powers that be in both the korean and western industries and to be honest they still are. but smear campaigns nasty rumors death threats hate trains etc bts have dealt with it all and for no reason other than jealousy and people in both industries not liking that a group with no industry backing can succeed without giving them profit showing other artists that if you have enough fans you dont need a major label or connections to back you which messes up the entire ecosystem of the music industry since its run on greed, exploitation and corruption. besides that they had trolls who were almost like dedicated fans but negative people who to this day are obsessed with harming them. add on little to know time to rest or live their lives outside of work you can see why they considered disbanding especially in 2018 when death threats were particularly high. they had received threats since 2015 so it wasnt something new but what made it more terrifying was before it was just internet trolls who majority of the time were probably bluffing and were probably children looking for attention online through anonymity. but in 2018 they had real organizations of adults threatening them extreme groups in japan who hate koreans and wish to see them exterminated were attacking them due to them celebrating the anniversary of korea's independence which as korean men they have every right to celebrate. that was the first time they realized their fame will now bring unwanted political and cultural attention they werent ready for as a music group. they had also began to get more involved to try to make a difference in the world like with their UN speeches and love myself campaign which probably put even more political attention on them. now everything they say can be used politically by other countries sometimes even their own country like how their president held their enlistment/exemption over their heads for years to the point they had to decide to enlist instead of waiting for possible exemption that may never come which they never truly wanted to begin with. they believe in being treated equally with the next man so they never wanted to use their status to get special treatment but the government tried to frame it that way when it was them who had to set the date for bts to go. anyways sorry for the rant but its a lot more nuanced and complicated than them not getting along and wanting to go separate ways. theyve always been open that theyre like brothers and brothers will argue but thats not a reason they would leave and their label treats them every well at least nowadays the label is better with giving them breaks after 2018 they clearly reevaluated that. their label is one of the best but its not perfect. but bts has a lot of say in everything i remember in 2019 the label gave them a month break and the members kept going to the studio to work and wouldnt listen to the label. the label cant force them to do anything they can just give them more opportunity for break but its up to them to actually take one as they are grown men.

If that was most lyrically deep song you have seen by BTS, you have probably only seen very little of heir music. Keep in mind they have made hundreds of songs. If you only listen to their pop songs you are listening to very little, LOL. Don’t make an assumption of the entire group based on the 3% of content you have seen they also have at least 10 different shows with multiple seasons and tons of interviews and appearances that you haven’t even touched that ARMY has seen and that sheds a lot of light on things that you all often misunderstand. Loved the reaction, but just keep that in mind!

Just a fun fact about their friendship : bts said in one of the documentaries there are many who tell them how can you be that close with each other and that it doesn't make sense 😂 because there so many groups who are not really friends or just see each other as business . It is the track from the Love yourself tear album, the second in the Love Yourself series. Of course, the song's context is a discussion about disbanding the group, but not because they bash each other; it was a challenging year(2018) for them. Still, they go through everything because they have each other and the army. Suga, RM, and J Hope have written each part of the song. In the song, RM is talking about tears ( the tear when we cry), Suga is talking about tear (tearing apart something), and J Hope is talking about fear. Three of them is a negative thing we want to avoid. And since it is a rap song, the three leading rappers of the group are singing it. They were considering breaking up because they were all exhausted, having had almost no time off since they debuted, and the more successful they became the more work was asked of them. Also their contracts were due for renewal. This song has only 3 performers because it is a rap song, only 3 rappers. When they played the track to the rest they all sat down and cried together.

The reason for their contemplating breakup was due the overwhelming hate and negativity for everything they did, especially when they were rising in popularity. Although they were under immense pressure, they persevered and blew up internationally, look at them now. Do you all read your comments? ARMY is the best source of information you’ll ever get about BTS, because we’ve been there with them for a long time. We’ve watched the haters and antis try to destroy our boys, and we’re thankful that BTS hung in there, we need them, and their music. Don’t speculate, research a little bit, you saw the documentary, it tells you why they were thinking about disbanding. These three are the rap line, the other four were not needed for the song, don’t assume that there was discord amongst the members. When a reactor speculates too much, it triggers me so much, cause they just don’t know…

They are not bashing each other.. They wrote these song bcoz they were struggling with stress.. Bcoz they were always being bashed and hated for no reasons and they were at the point wherein they just wanna disband and doesn't wanna continue.. But bcoz of their love for each other they were able to overcome it and look at where they are now.. And since outro tear is a rap song that's why the Rap line were the ones that performed it.. Rap Line is composed of RM, Sugar and Jhope... Vocal Lines are Jin, V, Jimin and Jungkook.. 😊

I’ve being old army from 2013 followed them constantly went to concerts and know exactly what happened during this time period in late 2017 and 2018 especially at the MAMA 2018 awards where all seven members were teary-eyed and things were mentioned about them disbanding! Here’s the true story since you are new reactor to BTS, what happened was they had very little time to rest they were constantly being in performances overseas in the United States where they became extremely popular around late 2017 and early 2018 with little rest no vacations and no personal time to themselves they were constantly grinding in order to improve their performances for oversea audiences specially in the United States where they had the “Love Yourself “ concert tour kick off ! The boys have 3 “Love Yourself “,Albums consisting of Love yourself: Her, Tear & Answer. Outro: Tear where the rap line wrote their lines and discussed that time of talks of disbandment Where they were physically and mentally exhausted enough where they felt like they wanted to quit and it wasn’t just JK the youngest member who wanted to quit it was actually a discussion where all of them wanted to quit because of their constant performing and lack of rest! Because during that time BTS became extremely popular in the Western market they were being noticed getting awards not just in their home country of South Korea but in the United States the UK & European union , South America. wherever they went they were completely on 100% grind from performances and talk shows they had very little time to themselves so that is Exactly what this song was titled this was a lot of pent-up frustration anger and just pure exhaustion that they wanted to quit all seven members and there was probably some heated discussions and some angry words were thrown back-and-forth but because they are such a tightknit group and they are like a brotherhood they’re nothing like *NSYNC or Backstreet Boys with egos where they wanted to go separate ways that was not the case! The K-pop industry is a lot different than the American music artist industry. independent artists even as a solo artist you still have really strict regulations under the Korean K-pop entertainment restrictions! so let’s not assume anything we know that they’re still together they’re going off to mandatory military service every able body South Korean male must attend between the ages of 18 and 28 but recently the unofficial BTS law where they can postpone for another two years and start their military service at the age of 30 that was because of BTS ‘s popularity and bringing in $5 billion to the South Korean economy! Now you know that’s straight facts regardless of what others may have said in the comment they may have been similar to what I have said but this is exactly what happened during that time period where BTS was struggling both physically and mentally!💜 please keep going on your journey of BTS ARMYs will help and guide you along your way😊💜👍

To me, it would be very fake of them to say that they never fight or argue. I have a good relationship with my family, but we have had big arguments in the past. That is what i like the most about them. They are never fake. There's videos of behind the scenes of them having a little fight about the choreography, and they told us so many stories of fights. But in the end, they always say that this experience only made their bond stronger.

The talk of the breakup was not because of each other but because they where exhausted physically and mentally. This was during the time they were doing Idol and Fake Love where they became really big internationally. They had to over work themselves. In 3 months they had 3 days off total working 12 hour + days. They resigned their contract for ARMY. They would have stayed close to each ither but no longer performing. There is an episode of Suchwita where Suga Jin and jHope talk about this. 💜💜

From day one if 2 of the members had an argument then all 7 of them sat down to solve it no matter how big or small it was, V once said that if he or any member falls they don't get back up by themselfs the team always work together, with all the members doing their solo work just before they all go into the military, when they are talking after their performances they all mention how lost they feel without their brother's and they can't wait until 2025 so they can all be together again as ONE

As said... There was some though times, exhausted physically after years of intense work, mentally too because they got more and more famous, lots of eyes on them, hate, but also expectations... And then, as emotionally too, as you said 7 guys all the time together, but not because of hate or envié, I would say because they have different characters, some more ambitious then others, but also I would imagine the way they, we each express each other, some hold things inside, some tend to follow the others and not say how they really feel, some might feel unheard or misunderstood. Even I they lived together for ra long time, worked, vacationed together, had lots of heart felt conversations... We as humans, we never say everything honestly, for different reasons, one may be that we ourselves don't know for sure how we fell about some things or at a certain moment. So then the breaking point comes and then maybe you can be more open, more honest than you've ever been(if you really care)... Think of family discussions, how many time we don't say when our feelings get hurt... And they cared, they talked, revealed things and discovered things, and they decided to go on for the love they had for each other, the fans and the project that Bts was... Never about individual career as they were allowed all along to do individual music, on Bts albums and under their own name. This songs is just the rap line, cause it was made as a rap song, not the first not the last on Bts albums. Thay have individual songs, rap line, vocal line songs or various mix of subunits, not always all 7.

I think the Outro:Tear will have more context to you guys, as you get to know BTS more. That song is really intense. I really hope that you'll get to know our BTS gentlemen more, as you go watch more of their MVs and live performances. The things that they've shared with BTS ARMY might blow your mind. There is no...."I want to be a superstar than them" attitude. They are family...one for all, all for one. They have gone through so much together, so their attitude is we rise together. We help each other. Whenever one of them achieves something for himself, the other members are happy for him. They support each other. As a matter of fact, in "Daechwita" (Agust D's song) MV, BTS members Jin and Jungkook were there...but only for a few seconds. Heheh! And in J-Hope's "More" MV, BTS V made a cameo there too. I can go on...and on...and on...about how these young men really love and support one another. But maybe, I will just share with you guys, some links for you to watch. Hehehe! They rarely had long vacations, and those long hours of working, practicing, touring, dancing, singing... not to mention the backlash and insults that they have been receiving ever since they started....for sure, it really took a toll on them. If you really like to see their relationship away from the concerts and singing? Try watching one of their "Run BTS" variety show episodes. Just be prepared to read a lot of subtitles though, if you choose to watch. 😄 You might laugh, you might smile. But I hope that you'll have a good time if you decide to watch that. Anyway, enjoy the BTS journey.
