hey girls, please, could you react to some of the works of André Matos? He was a brazilian musician, he was a singer, composer, maestro and pianist. He unfortunately passed away 21 days ago and it was a shock for all of his fans world-wide and even people that just knew his bands by name... He played on bands such as Viper(1985-1991), the most famous one Angra(1991-2000), Shaman(2000-2006), then his solo career, besides another projects like Virgo, Symfonia and a project with the guys from an american prog metal band called Sieges Even. He was just 47 years old... He really loved his country and was proud to show the world what we're capable of musically, even with all the music degradation across the globe, he was persistent, yet with his death the media didn't care at all, at max a channel made a homage of 3 minutes, but nothing more than that... The politicians even less, it's pretty sad and if you could react to one or some of his work would be awesome and it would mean the world for his fans such as myself. My request is this one kzbin.info/www/bejne/sH6lZ3qviadogLs the song is from the album Holy Land(1996) or maybe Fairy Tale from Shaman live in 2003, the band he formed right after he left Angra kzbin.info/www/bejne/qmWzemV7l5t5qbM, I'd send you the album version of both but I'd like you to see André Matos and how his perfomance was. People might have another requests, I know you do a video per reaction, so it's up to you to decide which you want to do these are good ones in my opinion. It'd mean a lot if you do that.

As you said in the first part the drugs are talking to a user who is close to being an addict. Then, the slow part is when the drug user gets his fix and goes high, so it's chill for a while but with the build up of the music the craving slowly comes back and at that point he shouts back to the master first in rebuke but later gives in expecting another fix. Within the solo the craving becomes more and more intolerable which means; in the end, the master takes all control and the user becomes an addict in full form. My suggestions for you, all studio versions please: Iron Maiden - Dance Of Death Iron Maiden - Rime Of The Ancient Mariner Iron Maiden - Alexander The Great Iron Maiden - The Clansman Judas Priest - Victim Of Changes Judas Priest - Beyond The Realms Of Detah Savatage - Morphine Child Savatage - Gutter Ballet Black Sabbath - N.I.B. Ozzy Osbourne - Mr. Crowley Helloween - Keeper Of The Seven Keys (This doesn't have parts, it is one track of 13+ minutes, there are shorter videos but they're NOT LEGIT) Dream Theater - Another Day Kamelot - Center Of The Universe Nightwish - Gethsemane Pentagram - Lions In A Cage Deep Purple - Burn Deep Purple - Child In Time Rainbow - Stargazer Camel - Lady Fantasy

I think it would be cool for you guys to check out what Metallica’s is doing now that they’re in their 50s. I recommend Spit Out The Bone, Atlas Rise, and Moth Into Flame. Enjoy!

The whole song is actually about the rise and fall of a persons feelings during their drug addiction and the actual taking of said drugs. The song itself never specifically aims to be themed around one particular drug, though as you said, there are indications of particular types. Like heroin, which is indicated from the lyrics "Needle work the way" and cocaine from the lyrics of "Chop your breakfast on a mirror", which you two did well to notice. I didn't exactly pick up on these clearly myself when I first heard Master of Puppets years ago. But as I said, the whole song is actually about the journey of going through what a person feels from drug addiction and drug taking. The melody and actual tune of the song is the biggest key indicator for this. The very beginning of the song is heavy, instant and powerful, and it lasts for the first few minutes of the song in this way. This symbolizes a persons hunger, craving and psychological need for a drug. It's heavy, powerful, flooding their body, forcing them to focus only on the feeling of the need, driving them to want it. Then you have the middle section of the song, where the tune becomes gentle and rather peaceful and sweet to listen to, even very relaxing. Fun fact - It's also one of a rare few times that Metallica frontman and singer, James Hetfield, performs the melody solo! The middle melody though, with its peaceful tone and pleasant calmness is symbolizing someone getting their fix. The actual start of this section itself, where you hear James Hetfield say "Master! Master! Master... Master.... master...... master......" and it drifts off into a more distorted and quiet saying of master is actually a reference to someone taking the drug. A drug is taken, and you feel it instantly hit you. It enters your body and you feel a calming rush flow through you. Your whole body calms and eases up, the cravings are gone and you're relaxed. This is what the melody section of the song represents. The high from taking drugs. But then towards the end of it, it slowly gets heavier, growing steadily back to being rough and powerful, until the music is almost shouting at you in aggressive riffs. Then the lyrics come in, "Master! Master! Where's the dreams that I've been after? Master! Master! You promised only lies! Laughter! Laughter! All I hear or see is laughter! Laughing at my cries!" You took a good guess at thinking that this could mean the drug addicted individual in the song is hearing laughter when he is on his high, but it's more than likely referencing how the only winners are the ones who make and sell the drugs. The dealers. People go to dealers, pay stupid amounts of money for extremely harmful substances and all for nothing more than a couple of hours of a fix. They laugh at those who buy from them. They're making a fortune and the people who buy it are suffering, but the dealers don't care. This is why the actual title of the song, Master of Puppets, is a reference to both the drug and the ones who make and sell it. The lyrics themselves are like the words of an addict realizing he has a problem, saying that he was promised lies, that they had dreams of experiencing bliss, but they got nothing, and now they're being laughed at because they're hooked. Stuck and unable to get away. Then the main solo breaks in (performed by Kirk Hammett for this one), which is insanely fast, aggressive and powerful. This represents the pain a drug user feels when they come down from their high, and once again, they feel nothing but that hunger, need and drive, making them want more and more. They go through withdrawal symptoms and it can be an extremely harrowing and painful process to do so. Then the song goes back to its original riff, soon coming to an end with the laughter and shouting you hear. This is the saddest section of the song since it literally indicates its all gone full circle. More times than not, a drug addict will enter the life of being hooked on a substance and never be able to get out of it until they sadly die. They are truly victims. As foolish as they may be for being the ones who took drugs in the first place, they are definitely more victim than villain. Addiction is an endless cycle that is a war zone of a battle to try and escape from. Master of Puppets is about Metallica's own past drug addictions and how they struggled through it. The happy part about this though is that Metallica did get out of their addictions and cleaned themselves up. Even in interviews and documentaries with them, they state themselves, "It's different now than from when we were kids. When we first started out, it was always about that next fix, getting to the next city and getting to the strip club. Now, it's about us making the music we love, and spending our lives with those we love."

I am REALLY curious to see how you would react to some King Diamond or Mercyful Fate (King's band before disbanding and going solo). Some suggestions : Mercyful Fate (1982-1984) - Into The Coven - Black Funeral - Evil - Curse Of The Pharaohs - Melissa - Come To The Sabbath - Gypsy - A Dangerous Meeting - Desecration Of Souls King Diamond (1985-Present) - No Presents For Christmas - The Candle - The Portrait - Funeral / Arrival - Mansion In Darkness - The 7th Day Of July 1777 - Out From The Asylum / Welcome Home - "Them" (short instrumental) - A Visit From The Dead - Cremation (instrumental) - The Eye Of The Witch - Burn - Behind These Walls - The Spider's Lullabye - From The Other Side - Six Feet Under - The Graveyard / Black Hill Sanitarium - Louisiana Darkness / The "LOA" House - Voodoo - Upon The Cross / This Place Is Terrible - Black Devil - Help!!! - Spare This Life / The Storm - Mansion In Sorrow - Midnight / The Puppet Master - Magic - Blood To Walk - So Sad - Little Drummer Boy (Christmas Again) - The Dead / Never Ending Hill - Give Me Your Soul Mercyful Fate (resurrection 1993-1999) - Is That You Melissa - Egypt - Thirteen Invitations - The Bell Witch - Time - The Lady In Black - Nightmare Be Thy Name - Angel Of Light - The Mad Arab (Part I : The Vision) - The Mad Arab (Part II : Kutulu) - The Uninvited Guest - Fifteen Men & A Bottle Of Rum - 1629 Torture - Last Rites - "9" Those should keep you busy, lol. NOTE : The early MF stuff is much darker with more "sinister" occult themes, so, depending how you feel about lyrics surrounding that stuff. The 1990s MF stuff is a little more "light on the darkness" and probably better for newbies to try first, lol.

Hey girls read this! The lyrics of Master of Puppets aren't about James Hetfield's own addiction or addictions to drugs, he had an Alcohol problem for a long time but not as far gone as Heroin lol. The lyrics are about people's drug addictions in general, I heard James said something about seeing a bunch of Heroin junkies at a house once had an influence on him writing the song. :)

The album master of puppets has a theme of being controlled by something, the song disposable heros isn't a antiwar song it's a soldier being controlled by the system or government, it's a great song you should check out

If you have ever done coke there is nothing worse then when you run out. You are constantly chasing that initial amazing euphoric high. Laughing at my cries for more when you run out is what the lyrics mean. I love you guys please do another video soon! 💖

Great reaction ladies. If you notice the changes in the music. The first part is looking for the drug. The soft melodic part is the high . The last part when it get intense, is coming down from the high .Awesome song anti drug song

Just my two cents, the final part is not just coming down but also the pain and wrestling with how to live with themselves as a person before the full on 'nothing matters but the high' need comes back.

Love you girls ❤️ One thing about this song is that it's about addiction in general, yes there are drug references in it, but it's not only about drugs. Keep up the good work

This is a great song one of the best when it talks about drug addiction master of puppets the master or your dealers the puppets or the attics the master is controlling to puppets when you look at the drawling of the album as the white crosses and a hand with strings and when you said needle worked it’s way it’s the Process of shooting up in the middle of the song when it’s slow down to a slow beat beat it means that you are off the drugs and that you were searching for the next high towards the end of the song it starts back the same verse as the beginning meaning you found it and you are high

I am surprised you girls have never had a request for Rodrigo Y Gabriella who got their start in metal and tour the world playing acoustic guitars. They are originally from Mexico and they are unbelievable musicians.

Try ONE, by Metallica. The best song Metallica ever made. Even though it's about a guy injured in a war, it reminds me of the time I came out of a coma after a car accident.

Check out: The Unforgiven, Wherever I May Roam, Orion, Nothing Else Matters, The God That Failed, Lepper Messiah, Harvester of Sorrow (live in Moscow if possible), Creeping Death, Anesthesia. If you want to try another band I recommend Slipknot - Snuff (live acoustic), Psychosocial, Before I Forget. Megadeth - Hangar 18, Holy wars, Peace Sells. Pantera - Domination(Live if possible), cementary gates, Cowboys from hell, 5 minutes alone. I know it's a lot to consider but you can come back to some of these if you'de like.
