Daniel G I’m sorry to learn of your loss. When someone passes prematurely, we often don’t know how to process it and we bottle it up inside. I wish you and your friend’s family and friends a day when you can be at peace with losing your good friend prematurely. It may seem like that sense of peace is never going to come, but it will. Be patient. Remember your friend. One day at a time! Live like how your friend would have wanted to see you live! Best of luck to you, bro!

The third baby from the left is my niece. My brother was asked if he wanted Caitlyn on the cover of a Megadeth album. He said, "Fuck yeah!" They had to take her profile because she wouldn't stop smiling. You can't have smiling babies on a Megadeth album. I love it.

This song is about a dream lead singer and guitarist Dave Mustaine had about his Mother well after she had passed away. She was French-Canadian and in his dream, he saw her and she said she only came into his dream to say “I love you”. Dave had a linguistics coach who was fluent in French help pronounce the French words correctly while he was recording the vocals in the studio. Excellent song and excellent reaction, ladies!

Yes, the cover is representative of the album's title, "Youthanasia", a bit of word play on the words "youth" and "euthanasia" (mercy killing / assisted suicide). The old woman hanging babies by their toes is a metaphor for the older generation (mainly people in positions of power) forsaking the next generation, leaving them "hung out to to dry". The song A Tout Le Monde, is often mistaken as some kind of suicide song, but it's not (much to MY surprise, and semi-disappointment). I forget the details but I think it has to do with lead singer/guitarist Dave Mustaine, and his departure from Metallica, and/or his drug addiction recovery. Anyway, the point is, this is another one of those "deeper" songs where the lyrics and perceived subject matter are not so straight-forward. :-)
@AreEnTee

It's about this: when someone you love is about to die, do you want them to say "Please forgive I'm so sorry" or do you want them to say "I love you". Dave Mustaine said it in interviews which are here on KZbin and he goes further in depth to the song

I will never forget the first time I saw Megadeth live, in Montreal at l'auditorium de Verdun for the Youthanasia tour, when they sang this gem for the first time for a Québécois audience, I remember Dave stopping the music in tears and enjoying listening to crowd singing the French chorus over and over, this overwhelmed me and brought me to tears, this went on for a good 10min, what a moment, the energy was phenomenal!!!!

That was a great reaction guys! This song means a lot to me because both of my parents sadly passed away from cancer and I feel Dave's pain when he sings this song. I've just been on my own bumpy journey through life and I'm happy to say that I'm still alive and very blessed. You are both very beautiful and I enjoy seeing you guys react to this music for the first time. It takes me back to when I first heard it before life got complicated and difficult. Know when I hear it I also feel it and it makes me appreciate where I am now. You guys are awesome, I am subscribed. I suggest "Holy Wars ...the punishment due" from Megadeth! It is an experience if you've never heard it. Have a good one guys and God bless.

Nice reaction! You made laugh. It's not easy to speak in a language that it no your own. But you speak English really well! I'm going to propose some songs to react for the first time. There is a metal band called Therion, in 2016 the recorded a new called Les fleurs du mal, like the book of Baudelaire. All songs are covers from french pop song af the 60s. Like Poupée de cire, poupée de son, Mon amour, mon ami, J'ai le mal de toi. This band has a lot of albums, even from different kinds of metal, death metal, gothic metal, orchestrated metal. I guess that is a nice way to explore something different from thrash metal, or the other kinds of metal you had reacted to. Go on, guys! Cheers from Argentina!

Megadeth recorded 2 versions of this song. The first version was recorded at a slower tempo for the album "Youthanasia". They later re-recorded it at a faster tempo for the album "United Abominations" with Christina Scabbia from Lacuna Coil being featured on the song. The reason for the re-recording of the song is that the record company and the producer of Youthanasia talked Dave Mustaine into recording it at a slower tempo. Later on, Dave felt that the song should be heard at the original tempo.

@@ToddFraud I was born in France but my family moved to Israel when I was 8 and I've been living here since then. But I still have family and friends in France and I speak French. Canadian French (Québécois) is a variety of French. Meaning, it's the same language but there are differences between them. Yet, they are mutually intelligible. The main difference is the accent. The first times I heard Canadian French, I couldn't understand a word. It took me time to understand it was actually my mother tongue... But in recent years, French French have adopted some new rules taken from Canadian French. There's a great KZbin channel about languages in general if it interests you. @@ToddFraud To be entirely truthful, as a Belgian french, french people tend to be very intolerant towards different accents and pronunciations from what they usually hear. Most of my friends are french and I can't even recount the amount of time they got angered by the way Belgians would speak French or how we had certain words they didn't. Same goes with Quebec, they will usually make fun of their accent of different way to speak it. They have a very different intonation than we do and it is very unique and fascinating !

Just a small list of potential bands/songs you might wanna give a listen to and perhaps make reaction videos to...these are all female fronted hard rock/heavy metal bands. Arch Enemy - You Will Know My Name, As The Pages Burn, The World is Yours, The Eagle Flies Alone. Once Human - Devil Can Have You In This Moment - Whore, Scarlet, Sick Like Me, Big Bad Wolf, Sex Metal Barbie The Pretty Reckless - Going to Hell, House on a Hill, Follow Me Down, Semblant - What Lies Ahead, Bursting Open Battle Beast - Raven (Please do a reaction video to this song, PLEASE!), Let It Roar, Black Ninja, or pretty much any song on the self titled 2nd album Amaranthe - Drop Dead Cynical, Digital World Halestorm - I Get Off This is just a short list to give you a few song choices to think about. Hope you consider turning one or two of them into reaction videos. Keep up the great work, girls... you keep making the videos and I'll keep watching them....

My friend died while I was off in boot camp, I didn't find out till I was on a midway through pass and immediately went out and bought this album and a portable cd player and listened to this song on repeat back to base in a cab to just hand it in to storage. Gave me the strength to perceiver to the end. It's not a sad song to me , it's something I know my friend would have wanted. He was a huge Megadeth fan and a phenomenal guitarist. Realize this was done a while ago and maybe you have heard the version with Christina Scabbia if not you need to hear it, Christina has one of the most incredible voices.

Few suggestions. You could react to modern french pop songs like : Cannibales (Calypso Valois, Elle m'oubliera (Aline), Adelaide (Requin Chagrin) or to the best french metal band : Gojira (silvera, stranded, where dragons dwell...). I enjoy your witty videos. Bise.
