G'day Jamie, fantastic video of steamrail's gippslander. I was at Dandenong station that day to see the train, I saw that the loco pulling the train towards Bairnsdale was none other than the Warrnambool west coaster itself R711. It was magnificent, just like a gently breathing giant. I went up to the driver's cab and asked him to sign one of my video tapes, which showed R761 touring Adelaide back in 1987, and the driver couldn't believe it, who on earth would be signing an autograph on a VHS tape? But he did, and I watched the train till it was out of sight. You did some beautiful views of the two R class loco's together and very impressive usage of the drone to capture footage from the air. Take care mate, keep your steam up Kevig

Thanks, Kevin, that is an amazing story you have there. It was an amazing chase as well as very unfamiliar territory as I haven't been to Bairnsdale for a while. Thanks for your comment mate.

Yes, it was. It was also nice to go to Bairnsdale, very peaceful out there and was worth seeing the R-class locomotives there.
