I could not help thinking that the lyrics of this song so deep. It's a catharsis that Nick Phoenix suffered when he lost his son in 2015. Many people here say junk to Nick Phoenix, not knowing that from that year, this talented composer has had to live a hell, and yet , has produced great compositions in both Vanquish and this Unleashed. The true fans follow the lives of these talented people closely, the rest only throws sand.

Drayzher still, one can like the Output or not, and consider Nick Phoenix a less interesting composer than Thomas Bergersen...

I know lots of people don't like the nick-phoenixy vocals, but I actually really like this. Nick has a very unique and distinguishable style and I think that's what makes his tracks great

@@hawklight21 I'm one of the people who doesn't necessarily enjoy his voice on some of the tracks he's recorded. I feel that the style of music that he composes, like Battleborne or King of One, works better with a lower, richer voice than what Nick has. That being said, this piece is very much an exception to that. His voice suits this piece very well and matches both the music and the tone of the piece.

I was thinking : "Damn it's the same singer than in Battleborne", a song I REALLY love. And I've just learned it was Nick Phoenix. TSFH Will never stop To surprise me
@MayBeSomething7 ай бұрын
Nick Phoenix was the singer in Battleborn? Wait, nvm, I can hear it now. That's cool!
@bvd_vlvd6 жыл бұрын
It's disappointing how this song already got more dislikes than "Never Give Up On Your Dreams". It's TSFH, everyone, not a single song is unique and that's the point of the orchestra. This isn't an instrumental only orchestra and if you say that this doesn't feel like it is from Two Steps From Hell, you are really wrong! Cheers to my Battleborne fans! This was another great success of our favorite musicians! Let the haters be wrong, it's not our problem! 😎

Ahh I'm 17 minutes late! I'll make up for it by posting the lyrics!! Footsteps Farther down the road Blackout A night that paints in coal Shadows Moving with the wind The world turn in And I follow And they say That no one is to blame And Nero walked into the flame Burned alive And I've seen him watching Darkness walking Step into the light Make your presence known We can break the ice And I am here alone Step into the light Whispers That bathe themselves in gin To the brim 'Til the old road is flooding Promises burn I hold no cross and I pay no toll Race with my wings on fire To a place far beyond the dropped-down sky Impossible to find Step into the light Step into the light Step into the light Step into the light Darkened souls Fill my heart With hate and hoax Beyond the gate The silence roars The solemn bane Of a thousand wars Step into the light...

Some people say they don't like this one that much, but as far as I see it, every TSFH song is an experiment, a new creation, something unique. Like this song. If you don't like it, Ok, then don't like it, but don't bash on Nick for having a different style than Thomas, because that's a part of the TSFH experience. And have a nice day :D

For me, this song is like the eye of the storm or going near it. The eye is where the light shines through, so the ship is 'stepping' in it. It also makes sense why it's a tad slower than the rest of the music so far in this album.

Yeah he's sung in quite a few songs actually, some in which would probably be harder to notice too as there aren't really lyrics such as "Am I Not Human?" or "Downstream." If you pay more attention next time your listening to a playlist you may recognize his voice in songs here and there.
