How come that my lips start shaking, my jaw feels loose, I have tears in my eyes and pain in my gut...how can music be so stunning, be such mesmerizing composition? I was raised on Beethoven and Chopin and Bach and Haendel and thought that orchestras were a thing of the past, previously financed almost exclusively by a (then) corrupt church. But this is NOW. This is us. This is all composed and brought to life in my State. The man on the piano is one of the greatest minds ever in music, and everything they have created is far far greater than the sum of its parts.

I think people know the performance is dubbed with the studio recording. You can tell by watching the percussion section and the acoustics is not live performance, and the studio strings are electronic compared to wood strings in the concert. It’s actually the best of both, seeing live musicians and the tight sound of the studio recording.
