It's annoying to need a constant online connection to play downloadable Switch games, so we've found an obvious, but helpful workaround! @@YourDrawerness Actually, hate to break it to ya, but he DOES realize how many views he could have gotten if he made it shorter; It woulda been much, much less. Gotta remember KZbin's algorithm favors videos between 7 to 10 minutes long. That's why you see so many KZbinrs make their videos around that length. It's also why PewDiePie gets so many jokes on his channel about how he just puts blank space at the end of his video to make it 10 minutes just so it makes KZbin happy. You might dislike it, but for being forced to make a video as long as 8 minutes, he did a good job doing it. A thousand people say it's a good video; only a hundred dislike it. He's just doin' what he has to, try not to hate, it's bad for your health.

My library is mostly digital. the regular switch is the family's switch, i play it, my wife play it, my kids play it.... (all on our accounts but games are all brought via my account). My son just got a switch lite for his bday. If i was to make his primary, no one could play but me on the family's switch. If i keep the family's switch primary, my son wont have a choice but to play on my profile on his switch. Kinda sucks honestluy there is no winning for me :(

I think their solution for primary and secondary consoles is neat and practical, but I'd like to have an option to automatically sync save data from the cloud across all consoles tied to an account. It would be a simple firmware update, in fact. The manual process that the Lite currently requires to download cloud data for each title is pretty tedious.

What is the best option when I have 2 kids with both of them having switches and me as a parent wanting to set up one account so I only have to buy a game once and can manage their activities?? Be aware!! If you use two systems your play activity (hours played) will not work correctly! For example, I have 55 hours on fire emblem. I played 10 more hours on my new lite but it still comes up as 55. The only way it will go up is if I play more than 55 hours on my lite. It's strange but this has been a problem for a long time with users that use two switches linked together.

Or you could do this, for example, If you leave your switch OG at home and your girlfriend or friend plays on it they may have their own account on your OG one, if they do they can play any of the games for the on the primary switch and it will not affect the second switch using the same account which is the primary account on the OG switch, that way you can play the same game at the same time and even play online against each other no interruptions to anyone

I have the limited edition Pokemon switch. I was always uncomfortable taking that switch out and about because if something happened it would be very hard to get another one. Now with the switch lite I can take my switch out with no worries and keep my nice switch at home to play on the tv. That was my justification for it.

There are those that want the better portability that the Switch Lite provides and also want the ability to play on the TV on various occasions, because if there’s one thing about the Vanilla Switch, is that it’s very bulky to fit in most people’s pockets, whereas the Switch Lite has a much better pocketability due to its overall smaller size. Now, if Nintendo were smart, they would allow one primary Vanilla Switch and one primary Switch Lite to compensate for this small issue. As for me personally, I’m still looking at getting the revision Switch at some point for the much longer battery life, assuming a more powerful Switch isn’t on the horizon next year.

So I've figured out that if you use any other profile other than the main profile on the main console, then you can use the main profile on the secondary console, it's pretty much that simple. Both can play at the same time. And if you have more than two, you start the game then go to settings and turn on airplane mode. Then go to the next console, start the game then airplane mode. And so-on with all consoles. With this, you can play offline for I think it's 3 hours before you have to turn off airplane mode but basically each console allows you to play because the other consoles are "offline" so it can't detect them. Boom.

I drive foster kids to visits and appointments. I bought a Lite and downloaded several games to it. Well it is so popular I bought a second. Neither device will be online UNLESS to download another purchased game. So original device was made primary. apparently you cannot transfer animal crossing saves, as those are saved on your console and not in cloud. so if you get a second switch, you will have to create a new island there. some games allow it though, just look up whether they have cloud save or not.

I buy switch games physical(keep them in switch case), and just make the switch lite primary and keep the og switch at the crib on wifi if need be. You can share physical games and play downloadable games + dlc on the go off wifi, and play them against players online with wifi(on the go). Share saved data between switches and deactivate primary on either one whenever I feel.

Mark Vickery the channels name is Kevin Kenson. Reviewers got their Switch Lites from Nintendo like a week or so ago. Except his idea was even better than Zack’s. He said to make the Lite your primary console since the docked switch is always going to be at home and connected to the internet anyway. That way the Lite will never need to do the internet check and you can play it whenever and wherever you go. Your secondary system would be the one you keep at home which will need to connect to the internet to authenticate but that’s no problem since at home you always have an internet connection.

I assumed that with the new update, that Nintendo would recognise that people would have two consoles (Switch and Switch Lite) and you could transfer your data to two consoles), nope, except for cloud saves. This is a bad idea. Even the vita and ps4 has the same system. For security reasons your account can get flagged if you constantly register/deregister. The idea is to prevent piracy so that no one person can resell their digital downloads/offline account. When you do this you are trying to bypass the DRM which "may" flag your account..but it "may not" isnt worth the risk

So glad I mostly have physical games. The only digital games I have that have a physical counterpart is Minecraft all my other digital games are digital only and since Minecraft doesn’t support cloud ☁️ saves anyway I feel that my situation is pretty good. I’m really glad I purchased and waited for the physical version of Hollow Knight and other games like dead cells, For the King, Moonlighter, Yonder, etc all physical so I greatly appreciate that this is frustrating people but generally it’s not effecting me that much. Nintendo do however need to fix this issue for digital gamers. Especially considering the fact that their fans have bought $500 worth of switches maybe even more and the way they try to fix this is by having to use over a WiFi connection which is an absolutely garbage way to treat your loyal customers. 🤔🤔 Wouldn’t it be much simpler transferring the whole profile to the Switch Lite (which is likely the one that may not have access to internet) and make it primary. Then your old Switch you leave home docked will be non-primary, but it will also likely be always connected, so no worries about games deactivating. If someone wants to use a game on your home console, they may use a different account, since any account on a console can play whatever game the console has installed, whoever bought it. This will also prevent the other user to mess with the save files tied to your account.

I thought as long as the account that bought the game was on a secondary console, any local account there could play the game, just like on the primary console 😞 But I can see why it isn’t so. A lot of people could play the game with just one purchase. I knew that Nintendo wouldn’t allow an easy way to “switch” (ahem...) back and forth between two consoles. I have 2 Nintendo switch 1 for each kid i made using my account but how can i get them to beable to play you tube at the same time ...watching different videos....if 1 is playing you tube it pauses the you tube on the other switch ....how do i fix this issue so they can both play
