Most Kenyan politicians would be in jail if they lived in the US. They wouldn't even make it past campaigning lol. Our integrity standards for leadership are dismal at best.

It is not as easy to get him out of an American prison as it would have been in Kenya.. He will have to serve his full sentence. If it was in Kenya, he wouldn't even be in court let alone the jail.

Very true my words exactly, he will serve his term and depending on his status he will then be deported or remain. So sad for him but as far as I know the state of MN made it strict for someone violating a restraining order esp being African.

He thought Yues is Kenya!! Political leaders, like any other citizens, must be held accountable for their actions if they violate the law. The integrity of our justice system depends on its impartiality and its commitment to fairness. It is imperative that we reject any form of injustice and ensure that all leaders are subject to the same legal standards. This is essential for reinforcing trust in our institutions and fostering a society where the rule of law prevails. Yues doesn't play with offenders. Let's behave while we're in foreign countries.

When one takes tabia za Kenya to a Western country. In Kenya, influential people/politicians violate court orders and they get away with it, but in the West, court orders are to be respected. Also, if he issued threats and stalked the wife in Kenya, the police would probably have not seen a case because they would say that the man just wants to talk to his wife, and the wife would have been told to talk to the wazee. Anyone moving abroad should learn from this.

Kizungu ilikuja na meli. We do not laugh at people who speak English when they fumble while trying to speak Swahili or when they try to speak our local languages. We help them say it the right way. So why laugh at a small gaffe when someone makes a mistake while trying to articulate themselves in a foreign language? The message is clear so things like that you let them slide. We are not living in the colonial era and there are no medals in Kenya for speaking sparkling clean English. We should emancipate ourselves from this mental slavery.

he phrase "added injury to salt" seems to mix two idioms: "adding insult to injury" and "salt in the wound." Both express the idea of making a bad situation worse. Specifically, to "add insult to injury" means to make someone's suffering more painful through cruel remarks or actions, while "salt in the wound" refers to exacerbating someone's pain or distress. Both idioms convey the notion of intensifying someone's suffering.

He will be out April, 2025. Let him wait for his parole date, which is in a few months. If the family start questioning the fairness of his sentence, the courts will conclude that he’s remorseful and may deny him parole. Then he will be looking at 2029. Kenya should stay out of this. His family should let him complete his sentence and with good behavior as well as showing accountability he may get parole. They will make it worse for him. You can’t bribe the US system.

@yussufahmed136 No. He cannot be released, because the prosecution was done by the state upon finding evidence. Hence, the wife has no power to decide or influence his fate after sentencing. Before the sentencing was done, had she withdrawn the case (only for civil cases), only then he would have got a lesser punishment.
@kandisphere8828
@kandisphere8828 6 күн бұрын
@@mm.4562 It's not about her being female or not. Even if it was the reverse, or a case between two men, one cannot influence the decision of the court after sentencing. During the hearing of the case, it's possible to withdraw the case or do out-of-court settlement for civil cases only (this cannot apply to criminal cases). The last step to influence the decision is before the jury decides, but once the jury/judge makes the decision and sentencing is done, nothing can be changed by the plaintiff forgiving the accused.

@mohamedSagal
@mohamedSagal 2 күн бұрын
he phrase "added injury to salt" seems to mix two idioms: "adding insult to injury" and "salt in the wound." Both express the idea of making a bad situation worse. Specifically, to "add insult to injury" means to make someone's suffering more painful through cruel remarks or actions, while "salt in the wound" refers to exacerbating someone's pain or distress. Both idioms convey the notion of intensifying someone's suffering.

Most commenting have no clue how things are here in the USA when it comes to a case involving man and his wife. I have lived here more than a decade, studied and worked across several sates.the biggest difference between success and failure for immigrants is getting married. Few have survived and others have been to prison for petty marital disputes. You keep away from signing that contract as a man and you will live a happy life. A wanjiku or halima in US is like a “Firauni” during the prophet Muse(AS).

That’s not going to happen. The criminal justice system in the U.S. is strong and doesn’t yield to political influence. What Kenyans are requesting cannot be granted. You cannot be permitted to marry more than one wife under the law. Ignorance is no defense. If he was lawfully indicted and convicted of these crimes, he must serve his sentence and then face deportation.
