Leading with the wrist is a good tip and nailing down angle control. My forehands get wild as soon as I try to get it out to 350-400. Lost my Grace the other day in the gnarliest sticker bushes ever due to trying to throw a forehand too hard. RIP.

Take it slow to avoid injury while you build up your power, try using an anhyzer release with over stable discs to get full flights, and to learn to be technical swap to putters because they don't forgive off axis tilt like drivers do. I can get my aviars out to 300ft BH or FH without much effort, its just getting used to the throws and the muscle memory that comes with doing anything thousands of times.

My favorite forehand discs are Adder, Longbowman, and Harp. Good video, tho I was struggling to explain the throw to my homie.

Whitechapel zone. Nice

1:07 eagle doesn't hold his discs palm-up. it's more palm facing forward, maybe just slightly up. This idea that you should serve the plate is absolutely wrong. It's funny because even Ricky Wysocki says to throw palm-up, but he doesn't actually do it himself. you're throwing palm-up then follow through to palm-down, which is essentially an intentional wrist roll.

That’s amazing distance at 4800’ elevation. I’ll give it a try.

Don't underestimate the potential for a disc like "Heat" to sail for miles and miles. 😁

All good advice but be honest throwing long forehand can easily injure your elbow or shoulder .... and I put long instead of 400 that u where throwing only because if someone is maxed out at 200 and starts going full power they can mess up their elbow being most common sometimes the shoulder. If you have played disc golf any real length of time, then you know ppl who have jacked their arm on a forehand ... I've done it and I am only 2 years in right up to pros Eagle messed his arm up throwing forehands and now barely throws them because of the injury potential. ... be careful out there...

Yup, I'm one of those rare players who mainly throws forehands. Distance of 95m, errr, 310 feet(?). And at the tail end of the season my elbow isn't too happy anymore. I really should throw more backhands but that something still hasn't clicked in my head despite constant practice. Accuracy is bad and distance is unreliable...

You're not wrong in general. But I wouldn't use Eagle as an example. He wasn't throwing a conventional forehand when his injury happened. There's a good likelihood that Eagle never would have gotten injured if he hadn't been throwing weird shots with Jomez that day.

I can't throw more than 155ft forehand or backhand. I have watched a ton of videos and nothing helps.

Yo, so I was this way for so long, and I still can’t throw back hand for anything but practice helps. Just go throw and watch PDGA rounds and that will help and you will pick up on thing. Also just go into an empty field and throw a crap ton of discs. Last thing is find a disc that works for you. I have been throwing the inova boos lately and I can get it to go maybe 375 (I am not a pro by any means) and the wraith works well too, let me know if you have any more questions.

Just watch plenty of videos, and focus on standstill throws first. You'll get it! It's taken me years

I'd say his forehand is pretty good. I've been struggling with forehand since I started playing a year ago. Tend to throw unintenional anhyzers quite often and my max distance is 300ft on a good day
