Thanks for the reviews. Nice picks, and with some straps in the game there are many options. The bracelets are a bit basic, rattly and "gunk magnets", but they will last and do their job. The watches are rather easily moddable too, if you want to "get your hands dirty". You can get an NH35 movement for about $30 shipped, and this will do what the 7s26 do, plus hack and handwind. And there are a plethora of hands to choose from - and what about sapphire crystal ;)

Right on! I can't knock them for the bracelets at their price point (unlike a lot of other Seiko watches lol) and I don't plan on modifying these, but lord knows I have enough parts to if I was inclined. I will have a build posted soon of a ground-up SKX build, just waiting for some sapphire to hit the mailbox :)

Seagull watches now your talking. I have an Sea-gull Ocean Star with sapphire crystal and a Sea-gull 1963 38mm with Sapphire domed crystal. I have a Seiko 5 but never wear it for fear of scratching the crystal and also it stops if I'm not active enough. All my new watches have sapphire, and all my vintage watches have acrylic or hesalite crystals.

That Ocean Star is beautiful! I absolutely LOVE my 1963, one of my top favorite pieces. I really don't mind wearing a watch around with mineral crystal or hardlex, because I probably didn't spend enough money on it to worry about it either way haha
