Watching your vlogs always gives me this urge to go out and do stuff, go to the library, visit a cafe, as opposed to isolating myself. Your videos are a nice reminder that the world is a wonderful place, and I want to be a part of that

This made me tear up. I've been watching your channel for a while now and just to see your personal growth and you perseverance through some sad times to seeing you so happy and fulfilled gives me such joy. This is so magical. No idea you were Swedish whatsoever! Also I just saw Midsommar and so this video was a journey to overcome my newfound terror of Swedish festivals. I’m happy to report that this cured that.

Hi! I have so many questions. Can you do a video on your ties to Sweden! Were you born there? How often do you visit? Did you speak Swedish or English first? Are both your parents fully Swedish? I am half Swedish but have lived in Canada all my life! Been to Sweden many times to visit family and speak Swedish as well!

I tend to avoid commenting on videos because I struggle with expressing how i feel in words....but your videos are just too amazing for me to stay quiet. I've been in a dark place for a while, struggling a lot with anxiety & depression. I've been dealing with a lot of physical symptoms recently & i stumbled upon your videos tonight. They calm me down, inspire me, and comfort my sensitive spirit. Each shot has an aura of romance I can't even place. The love you & your partner share feels so genuine and beautiful. Your creations are so, so lovely. I just wanted you to know that. That you have changed someone's life for the better. I hope you have a wonderful day

Oh it's so lovely to see more of Scandinavia. My family are from the northeastern bit of Sjælland in Denmark, but I've always lived abroad and I miss it! The midsommarfest reminded me of my summers spent sailing and making bonfires and snobrød on the beach, lagkager and going to stay in a sommerhus. It's also really lovely listening to a little bit of Swedish; it sounds like Danish spoken in a strange dream. (also in agreement - everything scandi is too lovely, it is just stupid).

As a swede I have to say, I love it when you speak swedish because its imperfections are so interesting and beautiful. It’s clear that you grew up speaking some swedish, but you almost speak with a norwegian melody, and many of the words you say carry different accents (the most prominent for me being the way you pronounce jordgubbar as if you were from småland, specifically Västervik). It’s really interesting to experience your relation with the swedish language, and I hope to hear you speak swedish in the future as well.
@cheyennebarton5 жыл бұрын
TheForgottenone i spent all my summers growing up in småland, so that’s why haha ;-) and i definitely speak a little slow cause i’m so nervous about getting things wrong and there’s so many words i don’t know!! i’m really hoping to be fluent one day 🤞🏻
